The dreaded shrinkage!! R/O please

So how do I avoid shrinkage while still maintaining my 3b springy curls? :confused1:

    impossible. just grow your hair longer. if you want springy curls they are not going to stretch out and give more length. you can avoid shrinkage but your curls will be looser. my hair is now waist length when wet. when it is looking great and really springy it is about 3" below my shoulders in appearance. this is probably about 8-10" of shrinkage. it's ok. i'll just keep growing my hair and eventually it will be waist length and springy. might have to wait till i'm 70 tho :)

    LOL! I agree. I did read somewhere about water in your leave-in and styling products can make it worse... but I don't have this problem. Wish I did. :D

    3a since going CG!
    CG on 10/12/08. free of cones, sulfates, and shampoo! added shampoo bars 1/80/09.
    using:
    shampoo bars (wind blossom)
    condish - burts bees super shiny
    styling - confused and running out of products. TRYING LOOB!
    trying: tweek...barely.
    WAITING to try: Melting Gel...resisting the urge to become a PJ...kind of...
    Dislikes: molasses and CK :( so unfortunately...
