no-poo and swimming?!

Hey,

So I am new here and am looking for great tips to make me fall in love with my hair (and keep it tame)

I am interested in this CG idea, but am confused about how to go about it. I am b.r.o.k.e. and can't afford all these conditioners and sprays and such. But I want cute and healthy hair! Any tips?

Also, and the main reason for this post, I swim 2x a week in a chlorinated pool and when I get home my hair is super dry and yucky. I feel like shampoo will help get the chemicals out and then I condition and my hair feels fine. Can this whole CG thing work if I'm getting chlorine in my hair?

Thanks!

Welcome! CG is something you can do on a budget. Suave naturals and V05 conditioners are cheap, as are the Herbal Essences gels. Check out the product review section for more ideas on drugstore products.

There were a lot of threads going about chlorine and CG during the summer. Here are a few:

    Hi Leelee,
If you're entering the pool with hair that is dry it will really suck up the chlorine in the water. But if you wet your hair and apply conditioner to it before you get in you will protect it from sucking up the chlorine. You don't have to coat it very heavily but don't rinse it out either. That will help keep it from getting damaged.

Have discovered I cannot live without KCCC and plopping. Always knew that I was dependant on my diffuser.
