Anyone use this instead of the gel? Do you mix it with anything, or use it alone? This one is from lilly of the desert:

I usually mix mine with Shea and mango butter with grapefruit essential oil. Then I blend with a stick blender. This is my HG.

I use aloe juice, not in place of aloe gel, but as a part of my moisture spritz, facial toner, etc. I love aloe juice.

Oh, I've ALWAYS wanted to try this, but have been afraid to. Are the ingredients ok to use on hair or is it just 100% aloe juice?

It's 100% aloe vera juice, the edible kind. I buy the Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice from VitaminShoppe for mixing into my hair spritzes.

I like Fruit of the Earth gel better. It is still 100% aloe, but gives better hold. Super nourishing for the hair! Just look and see how many products list aloe in their ingredients!

I just started using this toner recipe that I made up:

    8 oz filtered water
    1 of each teabag
    *green tea
    *green tea w/antioxidants (yogi tea)
    *honeybush tea
    *chamomile tea

Boil these together and steep to make heavy tea. Take ½ cup of this tea and place in a clean bottle. Then add ¼ cup witch hazel and ¼ cup aloe vera juice. Keep in fridge.

Or if you just want to test it use 1/4 cup of tea & 1/8 cup of witch hazel % 1/8 cup aloe vera juice.

After you've washed you face blot it on and let it dry naturally. I've been using this for a couple of weeks and I can tell the difference when I don't use it.

thanks a lot TroDous! i'll have to try it out sometime. so what differences do you notice when you do/don't use it? this really sounds like something great to do since i've never used a toner before. i hope it helps my face look and feel smooth/clear, that would be nice! :)

I have this exact product. Aloe vera seems to do nothing for my hair except make it hard and frizzy. I tried it for a twist-out on dry hair.

amarilla505, girl when I don't use this product all my little lines come out (between the eyes, those smile lines and I'm starting to get a couple under the eyes). This toner makes my face look less tired and I see the difference. I look like :D instead of looking like :|
