Donna Marie Samples--NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Posted on the Donna Marie product review thread, from the company owner:

"I actually had a moment to read the reviews on nc.com today and I really enjoy everyone's feedback and input. I noticed that some of the posters are concerned about torn between the Coco Curly Butter and the Lock and Twist pudding, so I would like to provide some clarity and I'm hoping you can relay the message for us.

I would like to point out to my fellow curlies that the Lock and Twist pudding wasn't originally designed as a curl enhancing cream, although it can most definitely provide an enhanced, flexible hold for curls --you represent that well :-) . The reason I wanted to point this out is that some hair types, particularly 2's- 3a's might find this product too heavy or too "oily" as it does contain heavy butters. If your hair type is prone to oiliness, you might be better off using the Coco Curly Butter as it was designed to enhance ALL curl patterns and does not contain heavy butters (only a small amount of shea butter). The reason the Lock and Twist pudding is rich in natural butters is because it gives added moisturizing benefits to hair types that are prone to dryness like 3cs-4bs and those hair types tend to style their hair in locks (dreadlocks) and twists."

Just got my full size products and want to help people decide which to get. If you're ordering other products from me, I'd be happy to pack it in a container and include it in your bubble envelope. If you just want 1/2oz of Coco Curly Butter and/or Lock &Twist Pudding, I'll pack it in a heavy craft ziploc, put it in an envelop and stick a stamp on it. I want you to make a decision on what works for you. At this point, I didn't find the discounts or free shipping, when I reorder--maybe there will be price reductions:

1/2oz Coco Curly Butter $2.50 shipped
1/2oz Lock & Twist Pudding $3 shipped

Bump. It was suggested that I'm an employee of the company, so I won't be offering these anymore. I'd hate to jeopardize someone's business.

    *sigh*

I really hate to hear this.. Why would anyone think you are an agent of this particular company when there have been several other products you've posted about and given nc.commers the opportunity to purchase samples before buying a full size product that may not work for them?!

I've benefitted a great deal from your reviews and have really appreciated being able to try samples of multiple product lines through you, kathymack. I really hope this won't cause you to stop doing what you do!

Thanks, I'm going to give it time and reconsider later, if there seems to be continued interest.

I would like to second breezybaby's comment.

kathymack - You do provide a wonderful service and I would hate to see something like this happen, but I certainly understand your misgivings given the drama lately. I did read the thread that precipitated this one.

Whatever you end up doing will surely have the support of a great many of us here. You are awesome!!! :happy10:

I have already bought my DM products, but I just wanted to say that I agree with the other ladies, don't stop helping us out. I probably would not have bought the KBB products without your help and samples, you do such a great service to us and it truly is appreciated.

I know where you're coming from. Many people thought I was an employee of Robert Craig because I answer so many questions about his products. I'm not, I just enjoy helping others when I can with my years of knowledge using his Color and other products. :) Just like you do with your soap and other products. Don't let it get to you. Just state it once -- as you did -- and don't worry about it. :) Those who will benefit will appreciate the service you are doing them (I'm talking knowledge, not just samples here). Kudos to you!
