It doesn't completely straighten it, no. What makes it straighten much more easily is contact with heat, but if you just let it air dry there will still be waves

I just had the BKT done last Friday and I LOVE it! I have thick, course, frizzy and wavy hair and it helped to tone down the wave and curl but did not get rid of it completely. However, my hair is much softer and I let it air dry and still don't have any frizz.

I was quoted $350 by a salon because my hair is long and VERY thick. I couldn't afford that so I got a trail size on ebay and my sister did it for me at home.
