Always use the "Icequeen" method for products
I use silicone & beeswax, but not mineral oil & the like. I shampoo with a low to no sulfate once a week & a full sulfate once to twice a month. I have no problems with buildup.

I use both & they're without silicone, drying alcohol, mineral oil/petroleum & beeswax, & any of the inorganic preservatives (paraben & -zone) to my knowledge. I believe the products are considered organic/natural. They're very good. I love the light consistency, the scent & the moisturizing.
