Does anyone know if they changed the formula? It was my favorite product, but recently has started doing funky thing to my hair.

Thanks,

i just bought it and hate it. It makes my hair stringy and awful. How do you use it?

I use it w/out a leavin, scrunch in a palm full and then let it air dry for 20 min and defuse. Its always been my favorite product. However, this new bottle is causing me to get horrible funky results and im not sure if they changed formula or if its b/c of the cooler/dryer air.

I used it on Saturday with KBB Nectar as a leave-in and then a tiny bit of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/AG-Recoil-p-24.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=ag-hair-cosmetics-recoil-curl-activator]Re:coil[/buylink] and had great bouncy curls for 2 days. I've had my Joiwhip for awhile, though. Can you post the ingredients on your new one?

Hmmm. I got mine in a swap a few months ago and wonder if I've got a new or old formula -- or even if there has been a change in ingredients. Thought I'd revive this thread and see if we might get some new discussion on this.

I've been using this stuff lately and really love it. Like [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink], it took some experimentation to get it right, but now that I have, I am *very* happy with it: clumpy, soft, natural-looking curls!

I have both an old and new bottle. I will try to remember to check the ingredients when I'm home and see if there's any differences.

It's the one permanent fixture in my stash, I haven't noticed anything different about it in recent times.

Ok, I have both the old and new bottles in my hand. The only differences are the old bottle says on the front "formerly I.C.E. WHIP" and then JOIWHIP underneath that; the new one just says JOIWHIP. The old one has a fat nozzle (which I hate and is hard to get the mousse out); the new one has the slim nozzle. The old one says deionized water as the 1st ingredient; the new one just says water as the 1st ingredient. Everything else is the same so there's really no difference that could be causing any problems as far as I can see. I do know that a little bit of this goes a long way -- too much and my hair turns into a gunky mess. It also seems to work better for me with a leave-in underneath.
