Acronym search?

PoodleheadPoodlehead Posts: 6,959Registered Users
Is there any way to make it possible to search acronyms? I wanted to take a look at how to use either CurlKeeper or KY in my hair, but the terms "CK" and "KY" are too short for a search. There are so many other things people shorten too, it would be lovely to have a way to find it all.

Thanks! :)

Thanks, but I'm not talking about just knowing what the acronyms mean. I want to be able to search on the acronyms, so I can find threads where people use them. The minimum search character count is 4 (if I'm not mistaken), so most of the acronyms fall through the cracks.

Our smart guy has instructed us to not allow searches for fewer than 4 characters. You can use an asterisk to represent the extra characters. Maybe that will help?

Not really, because KY and CK are only two characters long.

I understand the dilemma posed by the smart guy, though. I wonder if a search like " KY " or " CK " would work?

others have mentioned using a search engine like yahoo or google to look for things like that. If you type in "CK" and "naturallycurly" it should bring up threads within these forums.

I ran an indivdual post search for KY** and it turned up KY posts. It also worked for 3B**
