Now that I know how it makes my hair feel (yummy, soft, and totally touchable, BTW!), and that it gives me great definition and curls even when I air dry (!), you had better believe I'll be getting more next week when we go shopping again. Besides - right now, it's a bonus-sized bottle with the big "33% more free" banner on it. So double yay!

So, I just HAPPENED to be in Wal Mart after reading your post today ;) and had to pick this up! I'm all for yummy soft hair, and the "33% more free" sealed the deal. I did check the ingredient list since there was a little confusion, and there's absolutely no a-cone (or any other cones) listed! I thought the scent and consistency were fine, and my air-dried hair looks pretty darn good! I'll post again when I see how it survives the night - I'd really enjoy having better day 2/3 hair.

Long story short, THANKS BB for sharing, and aiding and abetting a blossoming PJ!

    Hell's fire..!!!!!

The minute I out it on my wed head, the tangles parted like Moses parted the red sea!

Smooth, instant smoothness....just like when I first used honey. I used a scalp brush to comb it thru my wet hair cus I forgot m y Denman brush in the other bathroom. No frigging snaggin, just smoooooooth comb thru. It felt so good. It created a smooth sheet of wet hair. Ahhhhhh....

I followed up with gel in wet hair, and am currently plopping. Tomorrow will tell the true story on how it turns out...so far, Im liking it!

YAY! See? I'm not crazy! Well, not totally... *lol*

And lauralee too?? We got another one!!! *lol* And thank you for checking the ingredients, lauralee - now I'm almost completely certain that aside from the UK version that mumofcurlygirl found, the conditioner doesn't have the dreaded a-cone like I originally thought. Damn walgreens.com - got me all skeert for nuthin'!

We get the UK one here (Australia) hence the cones. I am still going to try it though as I low poo. You will not believe how many times I have picked it and put it back on the shelf!

Well AOHR is just not working anymore...have no idea why. But I think I'd rather pay $3 and try this one than jump to something like Kenra or Elucence.

Check again - mumofcurlygirl said that the regular conditioner had the a-cone, but the DT in the jar didn't, and the one in the jar had the US ingredients. If you're low pooing though, that should take care of any amodimethicone, so it wouldn't be a big worry, I wouldn't think.

    Keep us posted!

I have to add to this thread. I went out and bought the CG version of this conditioner from walmart last night and used it this morning. Just like everyone else said, my hair was tangle free and smooth while in the shower and really soft once it dried.

    This is really strange
Today I went to morrisons (local supermarket) and these were on 'buy one get one free'! I checked the ing. and the conditioner contained the A-cone :sad11: but I looked at the shine mask conditioner and this was cone free??, and contained the ing. of the American version eg. palm oil ect,

I'm thinking about trying it now.... BB you are soooooo bad!!! :laughing7:

You know mum, I was thinking that since it's BOGO (buy one, get one) for you, you might want to pick some up just to have on hand for Paige in case you run out of her good stuff that you get from CurlMart and KBB and the like. I know the shipping cost and time spent waiting on customs can be such a pain.

But it's good to know that now the UK curlies have a good, cone-free option for CG!

Oh great... *another* thing to buy... :angryfire: If I keep this PJ going on, i'm going to have to cowash daily and pile stuff on my hair just to use up all these products.

I've spent more money on my hair in the month and half than I have been CG than the previous two years combined. :laughing1: LOL.

So, my day 2 hair with this conditioner is still really soft and tangle-free (admittedly, my hair is short and not too prone to tangling), but it was a little flat today. I think I needed a little more styling product since my hair is softer than usual. I'll have a try at day 3 hair...

My 2cents is if you've already trained your Locks to no "cones" there is a chance this might not work for you. I don't know why DevaOne-C uses amodemethicone but I do know when I stopped using it and switched to TIGIMM my hair was much happier,

I just hope that it's not true that the formula has changed to include amodimethicone. It works awesome without it! If anyone has proof either way on this, please let us know!
I just posted a pic in my [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] album from last yr. That is when I was using all Deva stuff and I can't believe how DRY and unhealthy my hair looks. I remember thinking WHY is this happening when I'm using only good stuff in my hair??? It could be a combo of things in Deva but even when I stopped everything else and kept up with the DevaOne-C my hair didn't feel right. It was BETTER but not all better I cut it out completely. You may just have to Low-Poo once in a while but don't be TOO disappointed if it stops working some people still use Deva and love it. Maybe you're not too "cone" sensitive! I just know that I am and rudee recently had to stop the LOOB because of the cone in that so be careful with the cones!!

So I just used it...and it wasn't anything SUPER spectacular, although I should note that it's working as well as my AOHR right now (it seems to be dipping in performance). So, if one wash is anything to go by, at the very least, I can replace my expensive AOHR with this!

Saving money is always good. Although, as a PJ, I know this means it's going towards a different hair product, instead of this one.

Actually, I was looking in my fotki, and my best hair day was from this conditioner! I thought it was a fluke, and I was worried about the protein, but I will be trying it again! :D

You're right, Rose - you did have great hair with this one! It was SO shiny and soft-looking...and those curls were just BEGGING to be boinged! :laughing1: You commented that there was some frizz, but I didn't see enough to worry about - I thought it looked great!

Experiment - wash #2. I wet my hair well (skipped shampoo bar this time - wanted to try a straight cowash) and smeared a golf ball sized glob of nutri gloss across my scalp and through my hair, then brushed it through in every conceivable direction with my Denman. Now first of all, with any other conditioner, I have never had enough slip to be able to flip my hair all over hell and back and not have it wind up in a hopelessly tangled ball on top of my head, so that's saying something in itself. It's odd, because it's so thick and rich that you expect it to be a PITA to rinse out, but it's not. It rinses quickly and cleanly, but somehow detangles REALLY well, even when it's not in your hair anymore. I will say though, that when brushing it through, it foamed up pretty good, but my hair was SO silky and slippery!

Anyway, I skipped my vinegar rinse and honey for the first time in about two months, so we'll see how this goes. For stylers, I brushed in KY jelly and two finger scoops of LOOB (man...that sounds DIRTY *lol*), and then flipped my head down, smoothed in a quarter sized glob of melting gel and brushed for better clumping, then scrunched and plopped in a flour sack towel. Now, I'm on my way to bed, and I'll update in the morning after it's dry. :happy6:

    Nite nite!

Are you using the conditioner or treatment BB? The treatment is CG here (pretty sure as it has fairly impossible to read ingredients!!!). Think the Bee pollen one had more scary cones in it.

I'm new to the whole CG thing - I started on 1 October and so far the results have been... well... OK, I guess. I've constantly had that frizz halo that so many people talk about... until today!

A tub of the L'Oreal Nutri Gloss masque (for medium to long dull hair) has been sitting in my shower tray for months now (I think my sister bought it when she stayed earlier this year) and I'd been meaning to get rid of it. Then I saw this thread and decided to try it out this morning.

I have to say that I'm having the best hair day I've had in AGES. My curls are smooth, and I don't have the halo I've had for the last few weeks. I'm definitely going to get some more.

So far I've been using Superdrug Coconut conditioner to co-wash, Aussie Frizz Miracle to condition and Boots Curl Creme to style. But I'm definitely adding the L'Oreal masque to my routine!

I'm using the conditioner, but the US version doesn't have any cones - mumofcurlygirl said that the ingredients in the treatment/masque (the one in the jar for the UK version) look to be the same as the conditioner ingredients as the US conditioner. I dunno why they made it so difficult for everybody - makes no sense to me, either! We don't even have a version of it that comes in a jar that I'm aware of.

Well YAY! I'm so glad I started this thread now! I know when I first went CG back in February, I was reading EVERYTHING and had a hell of a time finding anything that would work for me. I never even thought to check the bottles of "newer" stuff on the market, because I automatically figured it just all had cones. It was an absolute fluke that I even checked this one - I was looking at labels of anything that said it had protein in it, and I happened to find this one as I was about to walk out of the aisle. It just sort of jumped out at me from the bottom shelf!

I haven't taken my plop out yet, but I will in just a little bit, and it shouldn't take long to dry - maybe an hour or so. I'll update again when I've had a chance to futz a little. :toothy10:
