I thought I knew what brushing felt like...

...but tonight, I used my Denman 7 for the very first time. And you know what? I think I actually heard my scalp SING. :laughing8:

Seriously, I have another brush that detangles better when my hair is dry, but never again will I wet brush with anything but my Denman. My hair is literally so damn thick that I've never actually FELT the bristles of other brushes, because my hair would bend the bristles over before they could touch my scalp. Because of that, it also took twice as long to detangle. The Denman has bristles that are just stiff enough to give you a really good scalp massage, but not so much that any tender-headed curlies would be hurting.

I used my new best friend a few times already: for a conditioner-soaked detangling in the shower, then a honey & vinegar rinse, and my final honey rinse, then once more for my Giovanni Direct. My scalp feels so...I dunno...yummy right now! Does that even make sense? *lol* The Denman also seemed to really distribute product more evenly than the other brushes I'd been using, and because of that, I didn't need as much. Bonus!! And I could already see nice clumping and much better root curl than before!

Yeah...I think I might have an HG appliance...
:laughing1:

Great Babe! I love that feel on my scalp, and I've noticed that 3-4 days I'm not getting those little flakes anymore. It's really good to clean our scalp with that little gadget!

I 've joined the Denman fan club, too! It does distribute product better than the other brush I've used, my hair seems to clump a little better, and the wave/curl seems to start a little higher up, too. YAY!

So...I, too, have been seduced by Mr. Denman.

It did feel good on my scalp, and was good with product distribution, and was good with curl formation.

    But I want clumps! How?

I must be odd. As much as my hair loves it, my scalp says meh. The bristles are too short for it to really get into my scalp well enough, so I still use my comb on my aclp or for detangleing.

OMG! Herbal Essence has nothing on you guys!!!!!!!! I guess in your case it's more of an "orgasmic" experience than "organic" hence their little parody!

Anywhoo I looked it up since I am not familiar with the Denman and I noticed it kinda looks like those white brushes with the red rubber and white britsle that hurt like hell that we used back in the 70's or 80's.

However, I did find it pretty cool that there are scented ones...okay your Denman hoochies(jk)...check this out
