What To Use For Shine That Won't Weigh Hair Down?

Just wondering--

What do some of you use to give your hair some shine without the product "weighing" your hair down, making it go stringy or flat?

Air drying, if you're not already doing that.

I've read rinsing curly hair with cold water helps with shine.. The theory is that the cold water closes the hair cuticle so it appears to be smoother. When the cuticle is open it appears to be drier.

You should condition your hair and oil sheen it while it is wet.... and let i dry naturally... that should work

Most, if not all, oil sheen contain mineral oil &/or petrolatum which are bad for the hair & scalp, not to mention they cause really bad build-up.

Don't you love that? I can never seem to put too much coconut oil in my hair, it just absorbs it all up.

Yes I love coconut oil...I quickly found that if I put it on without giving enough time to absorb, I go out looking like I have curl juice dripping down my neck!!

I use a bit of Jane Carter Nourish & Shine once my hair dries. I get a nice shine and moisture and it doesn't weigh down my hair.

I love honeylove pomade - makes it shiny but soft; also a little apricot kernel oil - it's very light (I can't use coconut oil - think my hair's too fine).

I use the no-shampoo method, basically washing my hair with conditioner but then again i have added minute ingredients like honey and glycerin to my conditioner so that kind of helps. But, then again there are some days that it looks dry no matter what. That might just mean that i need to either clarify with ACV (apple cider vinegar) or deep condition.
