With my company's stock dropping from $35 to $5 to $1.30 today, I'm thinking about picking up some shares. Which online trading site would you recommend?

I use TD Ameritrade and have for the past several years. It's easy, trade costs are reasonable, and I haven't had any problems with them.

With the market in the tank I'm looking to buy something to add to my portfolio.

Got any good hot stock suggestions??!!:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I use Sharebuilder and like it alot. Never had any trouble with them. Plus right now they're doing their $25 bonus for new traders to invest. http://content.sharebuilder.com/mgdcon/jump/web/welcome/wo25/

    Offtopic:

Scrills, did you finish your kitchen/living room remodel? If so, do you have after photos? Have you sold the house?

Well, I work for NCC. It's a bank. I'm thinking about buying $400-500 worth

The kitchen, well it's almost done. I haven't picked out a backsplash and the driveway guy started today. I'll try to post more pictures when I get home

    Wish me luck!!

Are there minimum cash deposits for either? I'm only dabbling, not getting in too deep.

Sharebuilder doesn't have minimum deposits to open an account. I think when I started mine I initially invested about $50 into some really cheap stocks just to dabble and see what I could do.

I don't think TDAmeritrade has any minimums either.

    Good luck!

Good luck with the remodel! I can't wait to see finished photos.
