please help with kccc and kcnt

i just bought and tried both of these based on the great reviews on these boards. i liked the results, but felt my hair fell flat by the end of the day. for those of you that use these products with success, do you use something else with them? or do i just need to use more of the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]kccc[/buylink]? also a lot of people have claimed to have gotten great 2nd day hair, what's the best way to do this? finally, i know these products are cg, but i've recently started using a cond with cones because my hair felt really dried out and damaged. do you need to use a cone-free cond for these products to work their best? Thanks.

How are you removing the cones from the conditioner--is it build up that's weighing your hair down? Are you stripping your hair's natural oils with a SLS shampoo? Cones coat your hair and don't allow the moisture in, so you're not helping your hair by using a conditioner with cones. There are tons of quality products to moisturize your hair that don't have cones in them.

I almost gave up myself, so I have a lot of sympathy. You need to figure out what works best for your hair. Start by experimenting with a TINY amount of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KCKT[/buylink]. It is easy to overdo the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KCKT[/buylink]. I literally use a bit less than a dime sized dollop of [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KCKT[/buylink] and I have shoulder length, thick hair.
The other thing I found that worked well for me was to use a wide-tooth comb or Denman brush to distribute the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] better. It made a bit difference in my curl pattern.
I do get second day hair with [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink]. A bit of water scrunched into my curls in the morning and then I clip my roots at the crown and let it dry while I have coffee, etc.

If I figure out the secret to [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] I'll be sure to let you know.
ETA: I had amazing first night results with [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink]. I'll make a folder of the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] pics on my fotki. If this lasts till tomorrow I'll be sure to post pics of it too (crossing fingers) I guess you just need to find the right balance. I really don't think I used that much of the product. I'll post the routine on the fotki.
Messing with AOWC/AORM (but will always love AOHR) Also playing with KBB, KCKT & KCCC
Frustrated none the less... Keratin process set for 12/20 unless something changes before then.

I really don't agree with some of your comments. I've highlighted my hair for at least the last 37 years, if not longer. Started modified CG in 4/07--low poo, gel, etc. I was CG for about six months--no poo except for the one time I mistakenly used mineral oil and then only a low poo. My fine hair liked it just fine. I started going with more natural products the beginning of August and incorporated soap/shampoo bars into my routine 9/1. My hair is the best it's been in my almost 57 years, despite thyroid and medication issues.

I love the soap/shampoo bars. I didn't poo for about six months, but started these around 9/1. I do it every 3 days followed by a AVC or citric acid rinse. It's made a big difference for me--as you can see in my folki.

I use the Swastik Shirkakai and organic, handcrafted bars. I didn't care for the one CV bar I used, it left my hair so frizzy I was afraid to try the other sample I got.
