Finally got pics- advice welcome!

So I finally got the fotki going with some dry hair pics. Going CG has done lots for my hair in a short period of time, and it seems to be getting more bend/curl almost daily. Anyhoo, take a look- am I a 2A or B? Also, styling advice for my short and straight bangs would be most appreciated!!

Thanks!!

KBB milk wash out, Super Silky leave-in
Donna Marie CCB, KCCC, FSG, and Cocoa Hemp Buttercream to scrunch the crunch.

I'd say 2b.. you have those natural tousled waves that straighties and curlies equally admire. Lucky you! :)

Mims, have you tried putting in a heavier leave-in and NOT scrunching + total air dry? Mine dries kinda loose wavy like that if I do it that way, but with a bit of curly at the ends. I think it's kind of cute. I'll have to do it one of these days and show you.

if I don't put product in other than a leave-in, my hair goes *POOF* it might be wavy, but it's about the size of Antarctica, so it's hard to tell :P

if I DO put product in and just don't scrunch, I get weird half formed/clumped curls that are still kind of poofy.

lol, I've given up on having wavy hair, unless I straighten and then use a curling iron... and even then, it doesn't hold well.

Thank you, whatsercurl! I'm still crossing my fingers that more curl will emerge the longer I'm CG. How long did it take you to progress from "Oblivious that I have curl" to 3A?

Hehe, the shades are my favorite part in those pics! And they were a bargain, too: $6 at Beall's Outlet! :D

Very pretty waves! In time, if you get random spirals, then you would be a 2c. 3a has lots of spirals with the curl starting just a couple inches from the root. Have fun experimenting with products and techniques to see what brings out your wavy curl pattern the most!
2C wavy with some spirals. CG since April 07. Medium texture and porosity.

It's very recent that I consider myself a 3A actually. I've always considered myself more of a 2 but Del2C has been pestering me to change my designation. :toothy7:

My stronger curl pattern emerged a few months after starting CG. I started seeing ringlets in days but it wasn't until I figured out a good routine - diffusing, conditioning, product application that I started getting more spirals than waves.
