Some things I've been noticing about my hair....

In my recent experiments here's some things I've found out about my hair.

1. I found the cause of frizz and you're not going to believe it. Anytime I've used PRODUCT then PLOPPED I've gotten frizz. If I don't use product I can plop for hours and no frizz. Go figure. Of course, with this I have to live with less wave formation. No biggie.

2. I do need ACV rinses, more than once or twice a week, or I get build up, but the amount of buildup varies from type of bar to type of bar. My honey butter yesterday felt waxy again with no ACV, but today I used my Chocolate Almond and no waxy feel, even though I didn't use ACV again. I'm going to start using them every other day or so, and ACV on the days I use the honey butter, which will be about every other day. I may throw my apples/spice in on the rotation, but it feels waxy too so I'd have to do ACV with it. Last time I used it it wasn't as moisturizing, so I'm going to use it by itself tomorrow (I'm off work) and see how it goes. I'll evaluate in the shower as to if I need the vinegar or not.

Are you alternating flavors every day just to "change it up" with your hair so the results are better, or based on how your hair feels?

Today, I triple washed when I think I could have gotten away with one wash and no ACV. Instead I did three and ACV and my hair was flat with a little frizz. I had great curls on Sat with one wash and 2nd day hair on Sunday. How long has it taken for you to "listen" to your hair?

I alternate for a little of both reasons, but mostly based on how my hair feels. I've learned that my results are always better if I rotate. As for listening to my hair, that's been a process. I started listening more when I started to have chemical sensitivities. Now it's second nature I guess.
