May not be around for the next couple of days

KitathenaKitathena Posts: 1,666Registered Users Curl Neophyte
I live in Mississippi and when Katrina came through we were without power for around 4-5 days. Also we had a lot of damage, so I'm thinking that Gustav will be the same way. Just letting ya'll know that more than likely I won't be around for a few days.

Is anyone else in it's path? If you are please be careful and I'm going to be praying that everyone is well.

Good luck and stay safe! Oh! I suggest getting a few of those battery operated spray bottles with a fan attached if you haven't already. It is a lifesaver with the AC out in the summer.

We are just out of the cone of uncertainty, so we will probably just get a lot of rain. (Florida panhandle) I'm keeping my eye on the storms after Hanna though.
I have 3c hair that I haven't straightened in over 5 years. It's just past shoulder length when dry, and almost waist length when pulled straight.

05/12/09 Still CG. Cowashing with VO5 Lavender Luster. I then condition with Giovanni Smooth as Silk. Styling with VO5 Lavender Luster conditioner with my wide-toothed comb.

Thank you ladies, we are hoping we won't be too badly affective. We have some relatives coming up from the coast to stay with us until it's safe. Hopefully the worst that will happen is that we lose electricity and not that trees and branches through the roof :(

QuirkyYogini, you be careful too! I hope you don't get any of this and I hope Hanna won't be bad on Florida. These hurricanes are getting ridiculous.

Be safe. Gustav just left here (Jamaica) on Thur-Fri, did some damage, but nowhere close to what it could have done at the intensity it is now. Hope all will be well!

Thank you all for your well wishes, we did just fine. Just a few downed branches. My relatives from the coast will be going down soon to see how badly damaged their house, but we don't expect it to be bad.

I hope it's not bad. My family aren't sure when they're going home. We're trying to arrange it so that they're out of Hanna's way.

Yay!!! You're alright - so glad to hear it!!! My family is in Lafayette, we were so worried about them too, but fortunately the hurricane ran out of steam before it got too bad for them.

So glad everything worked out for you and yours:toothy7:!!
