I found the salons here: Treasured Locks Hair Care Salons.

It is a mix of Natural and Processed Hair salons but some of the salons that care for natural hair are more obvious than others.

I wouldn't recommend Twisted Roots. I had my hair braided there this past Spring. They seem to mainly style locs and sometimes twist, but not 'out' hair. They also work really slow, have mainly male clients, and the atmosphere isn't very chill or hospitable.

    I'm still looking y'all...

I contacted Soul Salon Spa, they're supposed to be proficient in the Miss Jessie's Shingling process, do natural hair, etc.-- went there on Tuesday and had a consult... there was only one stylist in the store and she took my information and said she would contact me the next day to set up an appointment-- It's Saturday and I still ain't heard from girlfriend... I certainly won't be going there or will be recommending them

Sorry you didn't have a great experience with Soul Salon Spa. That's where I've been going for the last 6 mo.

It's not an upscale spa, so they are not super-professional. However, everyone there does really good work. I've seen them do twists, flat twists, locks, braids, weaves, coil outs etc.

Like I pm'ed you, my stylist is April. She's new. I've been nothing but pleased with her. Tisha (Tee-sha) is really good too.

If you find a good salon that does a good wet curly cut, please post. That's the only thing I haven't let anyone do for me in awhile.

My First Salon is for children only.

Why Knot specializes in locks and twists. They do good work too, or at least they used to when I went a few years ago. There is high turn-over for stylists though. I found this problematic.
