Coconut/Lime "Relaxer"

Let me start off by saying I don't want relaxed hair! But my hair has been super tangled in the roots the last couple of days and I read this can make it easier to comb through.

Has anyone tried this? I don't want it to take my curl out..I just need help with these tangles :sad8:

Or do you think the carmel treatment is better for people who want to keep their curl?

Thanks. I guess I'll have to wait till the weekend since it sounds like kind of a long process...

You could also try henna, cassia, or bentonite clay.

I'm confused. How is your hair tangled at the root?

Girl I don't know :sad8: Today and yesterday my hair was really tangled but only at the roots. I'm sitting here at working thinking about it right now actually...I think the problem might be that I don't detangle with a comb or brush, I only use my fingers...so I'm starting to think they're not doing the job well enough.

yeah. If you have really thick hair...finger combing just is not going to get it. i can do that for a few days...but at LEAST once a week, I have to bust out the comb or pabble bush and really get in there!

I mix bentonite with coconut cream and a little lime juice. Don't make the mixture too thick because it will be hard to rinse out. My two henna treatments loosened the curl too, but it was a nightmare to rinse out.

You're right cause my hair is super thick. I think I'm going to make Sat or Sun morning my "detangling" day lol.
