Mac usually has a good deal on a set near xmas time. Don't know if they would have any left.

sephora brand brushes are pretty good quality too (and cheaper)...i have a combination of both and i've just added it too it over the years so that i have a solid collection. i put all my brushes brush-up in a solid colored bathroom drinking cup for easy use. i have two one mostly for face (i.e. foundation, concealor, powder and blush brushes) and one for eyes & lips.....there ae a bunch of different eye type brushes. i also have that fan type brush that is great for getting excess powder off your eyes/face

in my September column, i mentioned brushes you can buy at the art supply store or craft store that are every bit as good as "makeup brushes"!
