Canadians: Where to buy products while living in Canada

Seems like there are so many threads on this. Can we just have one that we can easily refer to? Difficult being a Canadian PJ

Giovanni Products

-selected Shoppers Drug Mart stores.
-very few health food stores in Canada.

Called Giovanni and they provided distributors. They said it has been discontinued at Loblaws.

In Toronto for $11.00 can get Giovanni Direct Leave in:

The Big Carrot Natural Food Market
348 Danforth Avenue
Toronto, Ontario M4K 1N8
416.466.2129

This is a Canadian site that sells Giovanni Direct for $8.99.

SheaMoisture shea butter leave-in conditioner (SheaM)

I bought on Ebay...$9.00 plus shipping.

This was my actual cost through Ebay:

(Bought 2) SheaMoisture shea butter leave-in conditioner:

US $9.00 each

Subtotal: US $18.00
Shipping and handling via UPS Standard To Canada:
US $12.61

Total: US $30.61

Found out afterwards I could have gotten it elsewhere for cheaper. Bargainside has it for $5.99. Beauty of New York not much different at $6.49. I heard Beauty of New York charges a lot for shipping compared to other places but I'm not sure:

Thank you both for such wonderful information. I am new to embracing my curls and so envious of all the products that are mentioned but are not available to us. This is a great resource. I did stumble upon the constancebodyandbath for jessicurl. I am still searching for the perfect routine which I know will take time and not sure if cg will be right for me.

    /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fstores.sallybeauty.com%2Fcanada%2Flocator.aspx" class="Popup

Problem is that a lot of the stuff sold in the U.S. Sallys is not sold in the Canadian Sallys.

Is there any where else to buy Kinky Curly products besides Curl Ambassadors in Toronto. I do not mind buying from the internet as long as its a Canadian site, just hate paying duty/customs and I do not live near Toronto. Thanks.

I bought mine at Sally's. And I also seen it at an African store the other day.

Oops, just realized you said 'downtown toronto'. Try Toronto Barber on Bay and Dundas (call first b/c I'm not too sure they carry it).

Fantasia IC gel is a common product in every Caribbean/West Indian beauty supply store.

Try West Indian Hair Beauty Supply...they have lots of locations throughout T.O.

I just came across it the other day at Walmart. I've only seen the shampoo and conditioner so far but I'm looking for the coconut hair mask. Let me know if you find it anywhere else.

Anyone know where I can get Nexxus Emergencee in the GTA? I heard it has been discontinued.

Also, any place for cheap Pure Jojoba Oil?
    I just bought a 4 fld oz/118ml bottle for $16.30. The larger bottle was $43.00 :sad10:

I've been searching for this too! They used to have it at Cosmo World on Yonge St. but I went in last week and they'd sold out a couple days earlier! She told me they'd be getting more, but who knows?

Also, for GTAers, if you're in the yonge and eglinton area, there's a place on yonge 2 blocks north of eglinton called Delineation that sells CHS, Deva, Denman brushes, and lots of other products!
    Currently loving:
    Deva Red One Condition
    Nexxus Emergencee
    Deva HIH

    KCCC
