ORS Olive Oil Relaxer on caucasian hair

So I've read amazing reviews about this stuff and I'm looking for something to loosen my curls (if it goes bone straight, I'm fine with that too). I know ORS Olive Oil Relaxer is marketed towards African American hair, but I'm wondering if anyone out there has used it on caucasian hair and what were your results? I've been reading things cautioning against using "ethnic" products on caucasian hair (why, I'm not entirely sure but everyone says "Don't do it!!!"). I'm just terrified of damaging my hair right now as I'm getting married in 10 months and naturally, want perfect hair
My hair is in good condition- I get very regular trims. I just love the way I look with looser, straighter hair. Advice?

3a on top and sides/3b underneath...lots of hair

I can understand the reluctance if your hair is not that curly, but I started using lye-based relaxer after repeated attempts at using relaxers made for Caucasian hair resulted in miserable failure time after time. Once I started with "AA relaxers", I never looked back.
And yes, ORS is probably the best relaxer I've used, and I've used it in both lye- and no-lye formulas. I found it as good as Phytorelaxer, which is ten times the price.
In fact anyone who's read even one of my posts here knows that I am a walking talking advertisement for the entire ORS line, which is fantastic. I haven't used one product of theirs I dont' love.

Just bear in mind that there is a price to be paid, in the sense that your hair will be weaker and drier. Even after a protein treatment my hair is still slightly damaged and dry. But I like its loose curl and ease of straightening so that was the tradeoff for me.
If you're really nervous, you could have it done professionally.
Sorry, I don't have pics of my hair but I think I'll be posting some soon. My hair is VERY coarse, super-thick, and frizz-prone.
