Trimming a curly boy

TengoFiveTengoFive Posts: 14Registered Users
My dh has been wanting to trim my boy's hair for quite a while, but I told him to wait until he's a year old. I don't want to cut off all his curlies though. Is there anything I should know before I take the clippers to it?

Sorry I don't see what you need to cut. If you start cutting on it it is going to get even tighter than the curl is now..

His complaint is how long it is when its wet. However, I may have talked him into holding off for a while longer.

Um you don't measure or cut curly hair when it is wet. Its supposed to be longer when it is wet, cause it has straightend out, it shrinks as it dries.

3 or 4 on the clippers, 2 on the back and sides

    Thanks boarder!

PT_Cuda: I know you don't measure curly hair by its length wet, dh is clueless and I'm working with his ingrained prejudices here, which is not easy!
