Recipes: Curl Spray ??

I looked all over 'recipes -- for hair and body' threads
And I couldn't find a fair recipe for a hair spray to refresh curls.
I gave up reading million posts to find a list of recipes of a curl refresher.
I'm going to start a new thread...
Do you have a good recipes of a curl refresher?

- Take the drinkable kind of aloe vera juice that is at the drugstore
- Add to spray bottle
- Keep refrigerated. If you want to carry it on you, it may stay OK for up to a week, but it's probably best to load up a small spray bottle with small amounts and dump/wash/replace often.
Sorry I don't remember who wrote it.

That question has been asked many times in the six months I've been on the board. The reason you couldn't find anything is that no one's come up with anything that's terrific.

I'm still at the same place with it. It always refreshes curls, sometimes quite from beyond the grave. It doesn't add new frizz, but if frizz is already there it doesn't make it go down either. Or those have been my results anyway. HTH

-15 drops of jojoba oil
-15 drops of carrot oil
-30 drops of virgin coconut oil (freshly melted)
-1/2 ounce of amla oil
-30 drops of apricot nettle oil
-10 drops of tea tree oil
-add water to the mixture to dilute it to your liking...don't add too much and make sure not to add too much coconut oil because it will solidify if it gets too cold
"This recipe may be too heavy for most curlies, but my hair sucks up anything that lands on it."
The main ingredient is the amla oil which works alone for me. It even makes my relaxed hair curl. Often I use this concoction right before I go to bed and then mist once when I wake up.
You can also mix these ingredients with shea butter and make a butter with them.

Products I am currently loving:
Trader Joe's Nourish Conditioner
Anita Grant Rhassoul Deep Conditioner
Anita Grant Cafe Latte
Suave Naturals Coconut Conditioner
1 part FOTE AVG (Fruit of the Earth aloe vera gel)
2 parts distilled water or fresh rainwater
3-4 drops EO or fragrance oil (if you want - you don't have to do this, but it will be unscented if you don't)
I use an old spray gel bottle that I've rinsed well, then I fill it 1/3 of the way up with FOTE, then fill it to nerly the top with water. Add EO or FO if you want, then shake like mad.
I use this spray on bone dry hair after pineappling, and then I scrunch well before I plop my pineapple at night. It really makes my curls pop back, and it's very moisturizing, but doesn't add any extra hold or crunch.

Botticelli Botanicals Smoothie
Botticelli Botanicals Styling Mudd w/ double avocado oil and double agave
Botticelli Botanicals Lime in the Coconut Butter
1 ½ cups water
3 Tablespoons flax seeds
1 cup chamomile tea
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon coconut oil
½ teaspoon honey
1 Tablespoon aloe vera
1 Tablespoon vegetable glycerine
20 drops grapefruit seed extract
½ teaspoon ascorbic acid
5 drops vitamin e oil
essential oil
Cook and strain flax seeds in water. Add salt, coconut oil, and honey to tea water (coconut oil looks really glittery on top of the water, kinda cool). Wait until mixture cools to add remaining ingredients, including the flax gel. Solution can be used as post wash leave in for hair.
For spray, mix 50/50 with rose water (available at world market or liquor store). Was very pleased to find this mix actually did work in my reused spray bottles.
Depending on hair, might want to try different oils, teas; vary the amount of oil, salt, or aloe vera.
Have fun!
