What are you hair?!

So yesterday was the first day i've worn my hair down in years!! I took pictures of course so that i could show everyone and get some more tips from all of you wonderful ladies on how to make it better but anyway let me tell you it was WAY weird actually looking at pictures of my own hair! i've always thought i just had this big curly poof on my head but it really does have some insane texture and curls when you look at the photographs anyway what im wondering is what hair type I am or mixture of hair types i should probably say... I'm asking for you input because im not completely sure here and i think it would help to see what you guys say so i figure out a regime that fits my unique hair type. thanks!! ((oh and i will be going out of town this weekend for the 4th so i wont be online for a couple of days most likely but please post and i will reply when i return!! happy fourth everyone!))

In my humble opinion, I'd say you are a definite 3c.. your hair looks very shiny already. Whatever you're doing now seems to be working. :thumright:

You have got some beautiful 3C curls going on and I love the color too! You should start wearing your hair down more, as your curls are surely nothing to hide.

Well, what products do you currently use in your hair? I have Type 3b curls that are BSL and I don't use gel in my hair. Instead, I use styling creams, serums, and pomades in my hair to style it with. My favorite curly hair brand is Curls as I use most of their products in my hair to style it with. I have naturally dry hair and I like using products that are very hydrating in order to keep my hair from having that dried out weathered look to it. And, out of a hundreds of lines that I have tried, the Curls products work the best for me. Now, I do have another line that I have just started buying products from that have got me excited about and that is Sabino. If, you are interested in checking out these two lines of products here are their sites:

Curls - /home/leaving?" class="Popup (use the Curls prducts for wearing my hair curly)
Sabino- /home/leaving?" class="Popup (Use the Sabino Moisture Block "the best anti-frizz serum on the planet" for straight styles) (It can be used for curly styles two)

And, a wondeful line of brushes for curly hair is the Denman line. The most popular Denman brushes amongst curlies are the Denman No. 3 & 4. I have both Denman No.3 & 4 in my hair. And, the No. 4 one is the best one for my hair, as it takes out less hair than the No. 3 does from my head.

Here's the site for the Denman line of brushes:

    Denman Brush- /home/leaving?" class="Popup

Now, I wet brush my hair for better lengthening and detangling purposes. And, here's how I go about wet brushing my hair:

    1. After I have rinsed out the conditioner from my hair, I section my hair off into 4 sections. However, based on the thickness of one's hair, one can surely section their hair into more than 4 sections if necessary.

    2. I then take a section of my hair, spray it with my liquid leave-in spray and then I begin detangling it with my Denman Brush.

    3. After I have finished detangling the first section, then I apply my styling cream of choice to my hair I thoroughly smooth it through. And, after smoothing the product through then I just move on to another section of hair and then I just repeat the same process all over again.

    4. Once I have finished detangling and apply product to my entire head, then I just let my hair airdry.

In the mornings, I just spray my hair with my liquid leave-in conditioner/moisturizing spray all over my head. I then massage it into my hair. I re-dampen my hair just so that I can refresh my curls a bit. Next, after I have finished "waking up my curls", then I apply my styling cream of choice to my hair and then I just fingerstyle my curls into place. Sometimes, I will apply a little pit of pomade to my hair to finish off my style, but pomade certainly isn't a product that I use in my hair on a daily basis. As, it can easily build up in the hair.

And, by the way, Happy 4th of July to you two!

Lovely hair! The color looks great with your eye color. I'd say you have mostly 3c hair will a little 3b thrown in the mix. I think wearing your hair up so much has really protected it from damage. I definitely think you should wear it down a little more, but keep doing what you're doing. It's working! :)
I have 3c hair that I haven't straightened in over 5 years. It's just past shoulder length when dry, and almost waist length when pulled straight.

I bet your hair would love a little [buylink=]Kinky Curly Knot Today[/buylink] and [buylink=]Kinky Curly Curling Custard[/buylink].

Your hair is like mine, but shinier and healthier looking. It has a nicer texture than mine seems to. Mine is so damaged and dry and easily frizzes.

I almost couldn't see past your gorgeous eyes!
