How do you use your hair butters?

i recently purchased one pound of mango/cocoa butter. it's very moisturizing, so i don't need much for my homemade recipes.

currently, i use my butter in homemade [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Miss-Jessies-Curly-Pudding-p-578.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=miss-jessies-curly-pudding]curly pudding[/buylink] and to boost my cholesterol deep conditioning treatment.

so how do you ladies put all your hair butter to work?

it a pre-mixture. i bought it from oils by nature (http://oilsbynature.com/) for a very reasonable price. they have all kinds of wonderful butters and oils.

I have to admit I have more butters than I can use. I bought some pure ones (pumpkin, grapeseed, tucumu) and haven't done a thing with them. I really like my commercial brands -- Jane Carter Nourish and Shine, Kinky Curly gloss pomad, Qhemet Heavy cream (it is a cream though, not a butter).

How I use - between washes, scrunch a little into dry hair to soften. After wash rub into ends either before or after conditioner.

suburbanbushbabe: thx for the info. i called myself making some whipped mango/cocoa butter today. i knew it would be moisturizing, but goodness. it took forever for it to soak into dry hair. i'll try it on damp hair when i refresh my twists.
