brown sugar scrub?

aneane Posts: 66Registered Users
My scalp is really gunky even after a shampoo, so I was thinking of trying a scrub mixed into my conditioner. Is brown sugar the best option? I was thinking of trying it with melted aspirin (i mean, it works so well on the face, why not the scalp? or are there any risks to using this?) bc the aspirin wouldn't melt in the water.

Any ideas? :)

I can vouch for the brown sugar scrub! My son had huge build-up on his scalp, and I thought it would take multiple washings to get rid of it. After one brown sugar scrub, his scalp was completely cleaned up. I was amazed at how well it worked :occasion9:

I really like the brown sugar scrub, I had a lot of build up today, and I used it, and it got rid of all the build up, and it exfoliates.

How do you keep the sugar from melting into the conditioner? I remember trying this years ago, and by the time I had mixed the sugar into the conditioner and put it on my scalp, the granules had melted!

Only mix a tiny bit of the brown sugar with a little conditioner at a time, and keep doing it as you put it on your scalp until it's gone.

You could try "sugar in the raw" the crystals are larger than regular brown sugar. It works pretty well

I agree with CurlyMo. I use turbinado sugar and it doesn't melt like brown sugar does.
