    I'm going with no-ish on the proteins.

    Henna and plant extracts can act like protein for some (since most plants have some protein content), but I don't know if I'd call them proteins per se. I hope that made some sense...

    My hair is extremely protein sensitive. I cant use anything with hops. I rinsed my hair in beer a few months ago. BIG mistake. dry, brittle frizzy hair.

    I looked up hops and saw the beer reference, but didn't see anything about protein.
