lazy loopslazy loops Posts: 8,792Registered Users
So I get the Sunday newspaper & I'm done with the news portion & getting ready to look at the sale ads & what's the first ad I see, but for ULTA, saying it's now open, in approximately a 15-minute drive from my home!!!

:blob7: :toothy7: :wav: :hello1: :toothy8:

You do know what this means, don't you? Uh-oh.

Uh oh, is right! But how excited are you?!

There's so much fun stuff there! It's hard to go in and just get one item. A good thing, they always have coupons!

Go down every aisle. Get everything! j/k... but seriously, I have NO self control in that store, so good luck, especially if it's your first time in an Ulta. I *still* spend a minimum of an hour in that store... there's no such thing as *running in.*

Uh huh, DSW you say? Yeah, I didn't know what that was. I thought maybe it was a bridal shop. We have DSW too! I know where I'm headed some other time this week. ;)

 I heard about this a few months ago and am looking forward to it too! I went to an Ulta in Tucson with my sister and was so envious she had one nearby.

Now all we need is a Trader Joe's and we'll be all set!

Suck. Where is this Ulta located? Looks like Sunshine's Tax check is gonna go quick! To bad my normal check is going toward replenishing my refrigerator...it turned off and everything inside perished. Stupid electricity.

I'm not in UT, but wanted to see what they hype was about. I found one close by to me as well...hmm....may be checking the place out. Is it better than Sally's? I haven't been impressed with the Sally's by me. They never have the things I need.

Why, oh, why would they put an Ulta up in Ogden? Why, oh, why couldn't they put one in Salt Lake City? That might keep me away for a while, but not long.

And notegal-it's better than Sally's because it has name-brand stuff. My understanding is they even have Deva. Plus, they have all the professional makeup brands, which in Utah is somewhat limited. I think you can only find the high-end makeup in Department Stores like Macy's, Dillards and Nordstroms. Those aren't too terribly common here. Only in malls.

I slooooowlly wander down each and every aisle. I am a stalker when it comes to that type of store.

    Ha! I know!

We do have Whole Foods/Wild Oats.

So are you hitting ULTA tomorrow before or after your cut?

Ah man I dunno. It depends on how I'm feeling after dropping $$ on the haircut!

    We'll see. :compress:

So I'm back from the store. It only took me 1- 2 hours in it to come out with 4 items: a blush, a BOGO free mascara, Derma Blend, & some stinky-summer-feet spray. I had a coupon for $3.50 off a $10 purchase & a coupon for 4 free items. LOL :toothy10:

I also signed up for their club, which is free.

But oh my goodness, the hair products I could have bought! They carry things Trade Secret/Beauty Express (& Bath & Body Works) here doesn't; Alagio, Deva, MOP, Ojon, Tricomi, Jonathan, some from overseas I don't remember the company name of, & others! I know where I'm going when I need to restock the conditioner shelf! :laughing5:

    I know!

Though I've already started making a list of what I want to buy, when it's time.
:idea1: Hmmm. I think I'll start using rinse out conditioner twice a day again & shaving with it again! LOL

We have an ULTA somewhat nearby, but I don't go there often. I try not to. Mainly I look at the nail care stuff, polishes, etc. I *do* need a good base coat for nail color though. My polish hasn't been lasting more than a few days now.

I stopped my evening conditioning/going to bed with wet hair last summer because I was worried that, in conjunction with pineapple-ing, was what was breaking my hair. But it's been so dry & in need of softening at night.

And I'd rather go back to using conditioner for shaving than buying separate shaving gel or cream.

So, no, the product won't be wasted.

You need to go to ULTA then for that base/topcoat! ;)

I visited my father, who lives in backwards-ville, on Father's Day...and guess what? His town has an ULTA. I couldn't believe it. But I'm happy for the curlies and other hair-enthusiasts that live in that town...now, there's something else to do there besides watch movies and make babies. They can play with their hair now.
That's right, I said it! I wear scrunchies!!

I came from a town like that. I understand...not much to do when it came to weekends at night. At least there's something to do. :)
