Something that worked

Well, at least it worked once. I've been having trouble getting any kind of lift in my crown area that looks decent. Today I used eight duckbill clips on the top and the top of the sides of my hair-- all over, not just at the part-- and it seems to be better than anything else so far.

Late flash: it was nine clips.
BTW, NDog, I love your Groucho quote. Been telling it to everybody. Long live Groucho!

what i do for volume at my roots is, once its almost dry, i comb back the top layer of my hair and clip it back then leave it until it is completely dry. that make the top (from roots to top of ears) kind of straight but thats how i like it because i have really long hair. even tho its straight, it still has good volume and very little frizz on top. hope this helps
    -belly-button length 2b/2c hair
-waves and a few loose ringlets
    -medium thickness
