New Pictures

Hello everyone,

I have finally posted some pictures of my hair. I bought a digital camera last friday (October 21st), and started snapping away, with pictures of my hair, and then of hurrican wilma ( I recently moved to South Florida). My current routine is shampoo like twice a week. In the shower I condition wash and detangle with [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Elucence-Moisture-Balancing-Conditioner-p-39.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=elucence-elucence-moisture-balancing-conditioner]Elucence moisture balance[/buylink], or Suave tropical Kiwi conditioner. I also rinse the conditioner completely out, because my hair not only is protein sensitive but overconditions real easily. In the picutures I used Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel (and a lot of it too), but the other day I started using the Aussie Mega Gel and I really like it. So anyway, here I am!

Wow. Your hair is beautiful! :D
Which Aussie gel do you like better? How do you apply it? Do you brush it in?

I agree with everyone-- beautiful curls/waves. I love the depth of your wave pattern too.

Florida is really something to get used to IMO! :)

    Canocurls,

The verdict is still out on the Aussie gels, so right now I couldn't say which I like better. And no, I don't use a brush. I do use a comb to part my hair (and also I use the comb in the shower when I detangle with conditioner), and then that's about it. I finger comb the rest of the way. Finger combing gives me the best clumping, because i kind of rake my fingers down my hair with the gel in it, into the clumps that I want of it.

And yeah, urbancurl, living in florida, is a trip! But I do like it down here so far!!!

    Hi queencurly,

Did you notice any flaking when you used the Aussie gels?

I'm thinking of trying them instead of my Herbal Essence Humidity defying gel since they don't seem to have protein.

    Are you still using them?

Very pretty healthy looking hair. The women in my father's family have hair like yours. They call it "crimpy curls." LOL

Gosh, if Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel is that good, I need to run out and buy some! You have very pretty hair and not a single bit of frizz in sight. Do you normally deal with frizz when you don't use this product? Right now I use Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee to tame my frizz, but I am wondering how the Aussie would do for my hair?

    Hey everyone,

Thanks for the compliments! You guys are so kind!

Ok, Canocurls, regarding the aussie gels, I have not experienced any flaking, but I do notice a white film briefly with the mega gel, but that goes away. oh, and by the way, I like the mega gel a whole lot now.

And Curlyplus 2, as far as frizz, if i did not use any product at all, my hair would be nasty frizzy and poofy. But it seems like almost any gel I use keeps the frizz away, but most gels eventually dry my hair out, so I ended up trying another one.

And latinegra, nope, hurricane wilma did not scare me away!
