Anyone use MYHoneyChild products?

I am interested in any reviews on MYHoneyChild products in general, but specifically the Lemon Pudding Hair Lotion or the Type 2 Hair Creme. All the natural ingredients look intriguing, but I would like some opinions before I place an order. Thanks!

I might try the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/MYHoneyChild-HoneyNutt-Conditioner-p-432.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=MYHoneyChild-HoneyNutt-Conditioner]Honeynutt conditioner[/buylink] that you like. I read the ingredients and it sounds fab. It seems real good for your 3c/4a hair type, do you think it would be too heavy for my 3a hair?
Ordering direct from the company website would allow me to order trial sizes but there are no returns. Curlmart does not carry the whole line but has a return policy. Hmmm. I need to do some more research. Thanks for your help.
oh, btw. Do you refrigerate your products or do you find that is not necessary?
You can get samples at the following website:

Curl Junkies is primarily available at CurlMart in their full sizes.

No, not at all. Chime in, chime in! Thanks for the recommendations. I have only been cg since January and I love how my hair has responded. Lately, I have had a real epiphany, a beginning realization that really all my hair needs to be happy is lots of moisture. I have been surprised that my hair, like yours, can take products made for tighter curl types. I am protein sensitive, so I have to watch out for that. But it seems to really like shea butter, which I always thought was too heavy for a 3a.
Anyway, I will definitely look into the other product lines you recommend. Right now, I love [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Too-Shea-Extra-Moisturizing-Conditioner-p-105.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-too-shea-extra-moisturizing-conditioner]Jessicurl Too Shea[/buylink] and WDT as leave ins, but some days, they don't seem moisturizing enough. If I can find a creamy styler, I will be happy! Thanks for the input. :toothy7:
I would be very interested in your review of the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/MYHoneyChild-Type-3-Hair-Creme-p-343.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=myhoneychild-type-3-hair-creme]type 3 hair creme[/buylink]. MYHoneyChild site sells a combo type 2/type 3 pack, so maybe that will be the way to go.
I eagerly await your post. Thanks!
Nope, not if you're using JC Too Shea. [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Too-Shea-Extra-Moisturizing-Conditioner-p-105.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-too-shea-extra-moisturizing-conditioner]Too Shea[/buylink] has a heavier oil content than the HoneyNutt conditioner. It's comparable to [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]Knot Today[/buylink], if you've tried that one sans the oil. The consistency is thinner, but I found it more moisturizing in comparison.

I've never had to refrigerate the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/MYHoneyChild-HoneyNutt-Conditioner-p-432.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=MYHoneyChild-HoneyNutt-Conditioner]HoneyNutt Conditioner[/buylink], but I do keep the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/MYHoneyChild-HoneyHair-Mask-p-349.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=myhoneychild-honey-hair-mask]Honey Hair Mask[/buylink] refrigerated.

so im back! my hair is very soft and shiny! it's still a bit damp (my hair can hold water for 24+ hours). who am i fooling, my hair looked so great this morning i was snapping pictures away for my fotki that i realized i only had 5 minutes to make my oatmeal and leave the house for work! lol
but im definitely interested in ordering more of her products! i have the buttery soy cream which i haven't played with just yet
For now, I placed an order of the Blended Beauty sample pack, BB1. I also ordered some samples and 2 bottles of SheaMoisture Leave-in from sistasplace.biz. (Thanks kathymack for the link!) I will go ahead and order the type 2 hair creme from MYHoneyChild later today.
Now, I sit and wait for my goodies to arrive. I will report back testing results in a couple of weeks.
misspam let us know how you like the blended beauty! i love their line also, but i have to use a bit of gel with it.
Loving natural products. Some of my favorites are:
MHC Scalp Cleanser, Donna Marie Miracurl Gelly, Robert Craig Conditioner
scarriecarrie - Yay! Another positive review of MHC. Honey isn't an issue for me as I don't color my hair, and like you, my hair hates wheat protein. I'm thinking soy and silk are possibly weaker proteins as they don't seem to bother me if they are farther down on the list.
Thanks again ladies.:)
ive gotten a few compliments on my hair today, so i guess ill be adding mhc products to my arsenal.
misspam, im going to give you 20% blame of me wanting to buy mhc lol
Well, if I'm gonna get 20% blame for future MHC purchases, how about 20% credit for all the compliments you're getting??? :toothy7:
why surely! anything for you hehee!!!
so thanks to helloitsio, i didn't have to waste $$$ in ordering right from mhc. i tried the caribbean activator, the liquid and the creme, and it didn't do squat for my hair! so im crossing that off of the list of things to buy
At first I really liked the honeynutt stuff, now I'm on my second bottle of the cleanser and I'm not so sure about it now, it does make my hair feel clean but the smell isn't as nice as I thought it was.
the banana creme stuff, I loved the conditioner but I'm not sure it's worth $15 plus international shipping. I may buy it again, but it's not a staple. the scalp cleanser was crap, it looked like watery cottage cheese and it didn't foam up at all I had a hard time believing my hair was clean after using it.
the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/MYHoneyChild-HoneyHair-Mask-p-349.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=myhoneychild-honey-hair-mask]honey hair mask[/buylink] on the other hand I love it, at first opening it and seeing how thin it was I was sure the tub would last all of 2 applications but I was wrong. This is the only thing I'd repurchase for sure
so the type 2 creme is nice but too light for my hair, but i knew it would be anyway, but i had a sample so it's okay.
the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/MYHoneyChild-HoneyHair-Mask-p-349.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=myhoneychild-honey-hair-mask]honey hair mask[/buylink], thought it was very light BUT once i left it on for half hour or so and rinsed it out, my hair felt VERY soft! i think i'll get a couple more uses out of my eight ounce jar.
i bought the honeynutt condish, haven't tried it yet though.
OH i used the lemon hair pudding on dry hair though and i did like it! will try on wet hair too.
Hey girl! I have been experimenting more with the Type 2 hair creme and getting good results. I can't use too much, though. I can use it over a leave-in with BRHG on top, I can also use a bit to scrunch out the crunch. It does leave my hair soft and shiny.
Tell me more about the lemon hair pudding. I will probably order that next. How do you apply to dry hair?
Honestly, I went to the website four or five times and then closed it out before I grabbed my visa card.
And then this morning I read this thread one more time
and still had items in my cart on the site so just ran to my wallet and completed the order!!!
I really need some rehab....

@ pigreyhound what didja get?!
And here I was just thinking that I could let go of all the products -- that all I really needed was SheaM and BRHG. I was going to cut back; just use up what I had for curl creams and frizz-fighters....well, that lasted all of a couple weeks.
I think, as misspam said, that my 3a hair does best with LOTS of moisture. I really don't need much else if I can get it moisturized enough.

ooh so you and i may like a bunch of the same stuff too!
Please let us know how the products are on your 3a hair. I'm interested in the MHC products, too. I have some Coconut Hair Milk coming from a swap.

BRHG is Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee. Typically I use all natural products but I read so many good things about BRHG. So when I "stumbled on it" (on purpose :toothy7:) at the drug store, I picked it up. LOVE IT. It keeps my curl pattern consistent all day.
It may take a while to get the products since I just ordered them. I have some TerraNaturals coming early next week, so I am going to play around with that first.
Will post once I get some results!

Perhaps we should enroll in a treatment program together.
I made a list of products that I wanted and said once I had everything on the list, I would stop buying products. Nowhere on the list was this lemon pudding, and now I am intrigued!!! *Checking my paypal account.
va_candi & pigreyhound, i just bought a slew of jane carter products - may i join your treatment program?
