I do have one but I can't get to it at this very moment. I you want send me a msg on my fotki so that when I get home I can put it in. BTW, how long is your hair. I tried it out before I went completely natural and it worked but I think it's for ppl who have a bit more growth than me.

I have been using a mixture of Sheamoisture Sheabutter leave-in mixed with aloe vera gel, its kind of thick & creamy, if you don't want it too thick try a lighter leave in, or if you want stronger hold, mix in some stronger gel.
    Hair loves:
    VO5 Free Me Freesia
    Sheamoisture Products
    Curls for Target brand
L.A Looks Curls Mega Hold Gel (occasionally)
    Aloe, oils, butters, Henna/Indigo
Curly fros, braid outs, twists, twist outs & puffs.

Organic conditioner will work best for this recipe.
I couldn't find a cheap organic conditioner so I use suave natural coconut.

orrrr a CURL ACTIVATOR. but i haven't try this yet.
    [ 35% ]

Coconut Oil or milk so it will be creamy
    [ 25%]

    Castor Oil (My favorite oil)
or you can use any other oils like jojoba oil
    [ 10% 5 drops]

Aloe Vera Gel for some hold.
    [ 30%]

THIS RECIPE IS SOO CREAMY & MOISTURIZING

no way, no problem. i don't shampoo my hair and no-poo seems to remove castor oil from my hair.

If castor is too oily for your hair
jojoba oil works best for you.

I tried this last night (substituted EVOO forthe castor oil, though, since my hair likes it much better), scrunching it into wet hair and then following with AVG. Awesome waves today. :toothy7:

My hair feels a little bit more producty than I like, so I'm going to experiment with using less, but overall I'm very impressed. I've never gotten hair this soft with this little frizz before.

Here's another recipe you might want to try. It's a little lighter...

1/2 cup aloe vera gelly (not juice or gel)
    1/8 cup glycerin
    1/8 cup jojoba oil
    1 tsp honey

You might want to add just a little coconut oil for shine/scent.

You can also dilute in a spray bottle with a whole lot of H20. You can always tweak the amounts of ingredients to suit your hair.

Sorry if I sound stupid but what is AVG?
    From U.K & started CG 13th July 08 :thumbleft:

Using VO5 Moisture Milks Passion Fruit Smoothie for co-washing and conditioning.

    Using Boots curl creme

Considering going Mod-CG and using H&S once a week to prevent build up, flakes and other nastys.:confused3:

Do you mean what does AVG stand for or what is it?

AVG is aloe vera gel. It comes from the aloe vera plant. You can buy aloe vera gel, gelly, juice, butter, etc. You can buy at grocery stores or health food stores.

It is a clear gel which seems to define curls in the same way commercial gels do. It's a natural moisturizer and is the base in many hair and skin care products. It's often used to treat sun-burn and chicken poc marks. That's all I got....

what i would use is some sort of conditioner, honey, aloe vera gel, and some sort of oil.

im not well educated but these sound like good ingredients for my hair.

I use the castor oil and aloe vera gel mixture but it made my hair so greasy. Loved the results, hated the grease. Did any of you have this problem? If not, what am I doing wrong?
