Anyone in Savannah, GA?

curleechiccurleechic Posts: 27Registered Users
I was wondering if anyone here knows of a curl-friendly salon in the Savannah, GA area. I was thinking of trying either the salon at Ulta or Vixen on Habersham St. because I know they both carry Devacurl products, but I don't know anything about their stylists.
2C/3A & modified CG since 5/3/08

Current products I'm experimenting with:
Sulfate-free poo: Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat or JC Cream Cleanser
Co-wash: Suave Tropical Coconut or VO5 Kiwi Lime
Conditioners: Devacurl OneC, Giovanni Smooth as Silk, Tigi MM, or JC Too Shea
Leave-ins: Giovanni Direct or jojoba oil
Curl Cremes: Mop-C, Biotera, or JCRR
Gel: Biotera or JCCC

Have you found anyone yet? I am also in search of a new stylist in Savannah who really knows curly hair and who is also a good colorist.

I too am in the Savannah area. I usually just make the drive to Atlanta to get my hair done. Let me know if you find out if anyone in the area is experience with curly, kinky, wavy, textured hair.

    Thanks!!

    [Hi,
I don't know how far you are from Charleston, SC or how often you're there but there is a certified Deva Specialist there. Salon Couture on King St and her name starts with a T. She's from N.Y and trained there. GOOD LUCK!!

Hi, I don't know how often you are in the Charleston SC area, but there is certified :Deva Stylist there at a salon on King Street. The name is Salon Couture and she's from NY. Good Luck!!! Oh I did just hear a good review about an ULTA salon in NJ that did Deva cuts so maybe there's one by you as well.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but did anyone find a Deva cut hair stylist in Savannah and surrounding? Not up toward SC , more like Savannah /Brunswick?

Go to the deva site for the locator. There is a salon in savannah that does the deva cut.

I found the stylist who does the cuts, but all her pics of clients on FB have straight hair? Not very assuring.
It seems she is pushing the Deva line products by holding work shops to teach the cg method too.

    Hi there,
I am a curly hair specialist and trained in the DevaCurl method. A note on photos on facebook. Legally, I am not allowed to post photos of anyone without their written consent. If someone wanted to take a photo of themselves and then tag me to it, that is legal.

    JCDavis!

Hello, im interested in getting a trim and some style. Ive had a devacut before but didnt care for it on my hair. I have tighter curls in my canopy and looser pieces around my ears and at the nape of my neck. Would you be interested in doing something modified deva to accommodate my curl pattern? Thanks!

I don't exactly know about any salon in Savannah Georgia as I am from Miami, Florida but, wherever you go do ask them to use GKhair care products. As in past I went through several hair treatments and tried various types of products from different brands but nothing compares GKhair. I always loved their products in terms of quality as well as results.
