Yeah. This Utah girl needs a Gyno and quick. Another jag in the ER with yet another cystic burst. So obviously, whatever I've got going isn't working...if anyone has any good docs...hook a sister up!

Oh, peachy keen! Got myself some good drugs and a super-cute nurse. Too bad he was gay (I think)...because I got up-close and personal with his thigh (he was putting the IV in! Geez, you dirty minded people!). Now I have a great doctors note that says I can't go back to work for 5 days. Great, right? Wrong...for 5 days off, I have to go on Short Term Disability because I have no leave left. What the heazy is up with companies that award time off by the fiscal year? Seriously!

Let me get this right, you got up close and personal with the nurse and now you've got STD? Hmmm....

Seriously, short-term disability isn't all that bad, except for the decrease in salary...but it's better than time off without pay.

If only the STD could be spent with him...*sigh*. No, the story only gets better from here! Called the benefits department today to see what paperwork I need to get filled out to get the STD rolling. Turns out that STD only kicks in after the 6th consecutive day off. And how many was that that I'm off? Oh, right! That would be 5! So, while I'm very excited I don't have to go through the whole rigamarole with STD, I'm also frustrated...because I can be!

I talked with my boss yesterday and he was willing the chuck the whole convo out the window about me being off work for 5 days, but I woke up this morning feeling like I'd been hit by a mac truck, so those wishes went out the door. On the upside, I get to catch up on some good reading! I love reading. It's pretty fabulous. But only if it's a good, trashy, romance novel. Okay, not only, but I sure do love those! With sassy females that kick some tail along with the men. My kinda chick.

OMG - Are you feeling better?!?

I've been lucky enough thru my PCOS journey never to have a cyst rupture on me, and I can't imagine how painful that must be for you!!

Hope you're doing better now.... sorry about the STD issue!

    Hugs for you!

What kind of after-effects have you had? I've had a couple burst, but beside the horrendous pain and uncomfortable problems, I can't remember any other problems. It's amazing how we forget those things, huh? Like burning the roof of your mouth with food that was too hot, but do it again after you're healed completely.

Poor baby! (fluffing pillows for Sunshine and putting the remotes and chocolates within reach).

Now, your hair looks terrific, you've got a bit of a twinkle back...but don't rush it as you need to be well again.

Now, do you need any ice cream? Please God, not together! (standing by bedside with freshly sharpened pencil and pad for "Chopin Liszt"

Ohhhh...will you marry me? Wow...I don't get that kind of treatment here. Probably because I'm a hag when I'm sick...just want to be left alone. Momma has control of the remote (staying at the parentals for a while), but you know, wireless internet is a wonderful thing. Thank goodness for NC, the internet and good books. Makes it bearable.

BTW, no beer. Don't drink anyway, but can't have alcohol with the painkillers...much is the pity. I might be driven to drink othewise. I think there's some rum in the cabinet...hmm...
