Iraq today. From bad to worse.

I do believe the war in Afghanistan is justified. But, the war in Iraq is not. All it has done is make the U.S. look bad and other countries hate us even more. Bush has caused so much damage to this country (financially, morally, etc.). It will be a miracle if we ever recover.

That is so, so awful. There is no comparison to New Orleans. None at all.

And that woman is right, no one really cares. :?

nice article. i totally agree with you about iraq. this is what i've been saying and people have been predicting from the very beginning. we really are destabilizing the whole middle east. it's pretty messed up.

did anyone catch the part about the oil ministry being one of the only buildings to be protected while baghdad was destroyed? unfortunately, it's no coincidence. in my opinion this is only further evidence that this really is a war for oil.

Thanks for the article, LaVidaCurly. I read the first page, and will get through the rest later...

This portion, in particular, caught my eye:
kidnapping and other forms of lawlessness since the invasion mean Baghdad's comparatively liberated women seldom leave home without a good reason.

    What an awful existence!
