Elasta QP Feels Like Silk? Aura Hypoallergenic gel?

Just wondering if any of you have used the products and what your results were.

    I like Aura Hypoallergenic Gel. It is on the thin side for a gel and spreads very easily. Over a leave-in or partially rinsed conditioner, it gives me light-medium hold with shine and no crunch. It'll last the day, but maybe not through the night for 2nd day hair (maybe if you use more though it would last). I tried it alone once (no con) and was happy with the results-- my hair was more wavy than curly, and very slippery-shiny when dry.

    Aura Hypoallergenic Gel gave me a nice hold
    and my hair felt great! However, I had to give it
    up because no matter what conditoner I used
    or how much I left in, it left a white film on
    my hair. It reminded me of Elmer's Glue! :(
    It's too bad because it's really a great gel.
    I remember when I went to buy it at Sally's
    seeing other gels by Aura, maybe I should
    try.

    Oh, that sucks about the Aura. I have had that problem with some cheap gels. I wonder what ingredient/s left the film. I have heard that Abba Weightless gel is similar to Aura Hypo gel. Maybe that one would work for you.

    I've tried the Elasta QP. I love it. I actual use it with a mousse (that contains no alcohol) and get great results.

    Love, love, love this gel. Didn't at first, but now a HG!! Don't know what I'll do if they discontinue this ...

    I'm glad someone else agrees with me. :D Do you use this gel by itself or do you use it with another product. I'm curious to know if there are any other products that work well with this gel.

    Yes, I use a lot of Bumble and Bumble Leave-In first, and after my hair is dry I spray a little Ouidad Botanical Boost and then smooth the canopy and my part with either a little bit of Boots or Recoil. All of these seem to work well together. HTH!
