CurlTalk

It's official - CK was breaking me out...

Woooooeeeee is me.... what will I do? This was truly my miracle product :(

I finally, by process of elimination, have realized that this is what has been brekaing me out so bad over the last few months. BUT NOW WHAT WILL I DO!?!?!

I have moved over to [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] part-time, and I think for the summer it will be good, however I was doing so well at cutting down how often I wash my hair and with [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] it only works really well if I wash before applying. I can usually get 2 days tops out of it.

(Side note.... eliminating CK helped, but I also tried RCW's reco. for face products - one is Pure Skin Formulations.... the stuff is FABULOUS, no joke.)

It looks like natural/organic cosmetics are working well for me.... 3b, and increasingly c pieces... my curls will always be a little confused, but that is just fine!

Some people with rosacea or seb dermatitis are sensitive to propylene glycol, the primary ingredient in CK. I'd suggest watching out for that ingredient and seeing if you can carb your breakouts.

Propylene glycol is a great humectant (and a good ingredient unless it's a trigger for breakouts or dermatitis).

Glycerin-based products work similarly so maybe try [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Rockin-Ringlets-Styling-Potion-p-100.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-rockin-ringlets]Jessicurl Rockin' Ringlets[/buylink] or a homemade water+glycerin product (don't make more than a week's worth because you won't have access to preservatives...get glycerin at walgreens, cvs, walmart, etc in the bandaid section or skin care bottom shelf).

    HTH!

Thanks so much Laurabeth... I will be on hte lookout for other non-propylene glycol items....

Maybe I will try that glycerin solution too... and maybe it is time to try KY like I hear so many girls trying out!
