Beautiful video on that blog of beautifully aging actresses. I think I'm takin the leap, after swearing I wouldn't do it for another 5 years. I'm ready now. I haven't colored in 6 weeks and my roots are staring me in the face. I'm letting them.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.

I just had the first stage of very heavy white/platinum highlights so I can start to transition from my colored hair to white. I am very happy with it. I feel like this is the "real" me. I have white hair, darn it!! This summer we may try to pull all the color out, cut whatever we need to, and let it go.

I had my hair white for many years but just decided that at 40 I couldn't take it anymore and colored it. After reading the Going Gray book, I decided that I just need to lowlight with more gold, sandy tones rather than the ashy ones. The book made the point that you need to experiment with the tones that you put against your white so you don't feel washed out. Plus, I am very pale so I think I need to pump up the color in my makeup.

It is just as hard to keep my white hair looking good as it is to keep the color in my white hair.
Growing out my curls. White hair, fine to medium texture but a lot of it. Low to medium porosity. Botticelli curls -- 2c/3a mix. My hair loves protein.
    CG since '08.

I bought that book (Going Grey, Looking Great) when I started letting my hair go grey. It was a big help.
Thanks for the link to the website!
