If you could change one thing about your hair....

If you could change one thing about your hair (thickness, less frizz, tighter curls, less of it, etc) what would it be.

I would love to have more hair. I am ok with the color, the type of curl, etc - I would just love to have more of it.

I wish I had less hair cuz I have enough for at least 2 people(Thanks mom! I get the thickness from her). But the strands are big themselves which add to the thickness, so I also wish I had finer, softer strands. I don't mind the curl or the color.

If I could just pick one it would be to not be 50% gray at 23. I would love to not have to dye my hair - its so damaging.

Oh jeez - I have to choose just one?

Hmmmmmmmm...I can't - it's a toss-up. Either less frizz (therefore less tangles), or curls that did more on their own, rather than having to be coddled and coaxed. But they do respond well to coddling and coaxing, so maybe I'd have to say the tangling thing. I can deal with anything else if I could just stop the end of the day tangles that feel like a piece of felt.

i think i would change the texture to be softer constant throughout. Some of the under pieces are smooth and silky (the pieces you can't see) but the canopy is kind of coarse. I can't really explain it--It isn't dry and doesn't feel dry, but i feel like the canopy looks dry.

I would definitely say more curl.
Currently, using JC HCC, Too Shea, CK and CCSS, RR or LOOB or MOP-C.
    CK is the one!!

as of 6/17/10 - I have to add Joico!

You could try Robert Craig dyes--i don't know for sure but apparently they are free of harsh chemicals but still permanent. Really popular here.

Aw, thank you, msjanani. I'm sure the blonde is much prettier than the gray I'm hiding! Now, if you could just give me your long, gorgeous hair, I would really feel so much better!

Same for my hair. Maybe I don't use enough product, but I have actually tried applying more and then it looks awful the next day anyway, all icky & needing another wash.

My hair is fine, thick. Though it gets heavy when it grows longer the layering takes care of the weight so I wouldn't really want to change that... I have cursed it when I was younger, I have gone through thinning it out and... never again! The thinning out part is way worse than having thicker hair.

Oh jeez - I have to choose just one?

I hear ya'. I suppose my top pick would have to be consistency. If only all my hair was as curly as the locks at my temples, I'd be a happy camper *sigh*. My nape area is the straightest and if I put too much product on it, it winds up looking stringy. If I don't put enough on, the contrast between wavy and straight looks weird. /cue the violins

Yep, I use RC Color to gently cover my gray. :)

But, my answer would also be not having gray hair at all. Yes, it can be colored, but I wish I didn't have to. :( But as I also remember when DH comments on my having to color, at least I *have* hair to color!

Next would be that the curls would be tighter, like they were before I started getting gray. That ties back to not having gray, I guess. :D

maybe a bit coarser texture, too.

Definitely that it would be straight!

As much as I'm learning to put up with the curl, if I had a choice I would choose to be straight!

I want my hair to be moisturized, it's so dry! Going CG helped a lot but I guess I just have frizzy dry hair, always have. I'm fine with the color, thickness, curl type etc.
