Suggest a cut for my son

My son, 16, has great curly hair. It's quite long now and in need of some sort of med/long style. We saw one on someone the other day that we liked. I just can't seem to find an image of it online to bring to the stylist. It was something like what some call a "hockey cut" but no bangs and a bit more angle at the bottom. Not a lot of layers. Parted down the middle. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Could you link me to some online images that might work?

TIA

Cathy

I thought that was another name for a mullet. You must know it as something different than I think it means, because a mullet that's not short in the front and doesn't have layers, would be more like... the opposite of a mullet.

I must have done a bad job describing the cut, because it's pretty far from being a mullet ;-)

I meant the term "hockey cut." What does that mean in your region?

I just looked it up and I see what you mean. It's different here.
