    Routine:

    Morning:
Either warm wet wash cloth or cleanser choice
DMAE - if you are using this - wait 15 to 30 minutes
    BHA - wait 30 minutes
    Vit C - wait 10 minutes
Either: moisturize, sunscreen, makeup or all three

    Night:
    Cleanse
BHA - if needed - wait 30 minutes
    Moisturize if needed

So DMAE is meant for use in the morning before SA.... is it okay to use it in the evening?

What about anything for lightening dark spots.... when does that come in?

DMAE can be used at either end of the day or twice a day (if you can take the dryness it causes)...that's what I do, and I see a lot more results with twice a day than I did with once a day.

So just to be clear, the DMAE is used before the SA?!?

My mother has truly sagging eye lids and at 38, I want to work with what I can and prevent that (at this point, she really needs eye surgery). I can already see so many changes in my skin, heading to where she is (I have gotten her on this plan as well). I hope the DMAE helps with firming and would love to find a preventative for my eye lids.

I will also buy TriLuma once I find it online at an acceptable site.... my freckled skin definitely has some larger sunspots that need lightening!

I am grateful to all the posts here by women now happy with their skin and especially RCW and Windflower for all your guidance!!

Yep. DMAE is used before SA, and I think there is a 30 minute wait before applying the next product. After cleansing, it will be the first product you use.

RCW recommends using it twice a day to see noticeable results, if it isn't too drying for you.

Lilah - a coulple of questions for you.

What is it that you like about the pumpkin peel?
How did you know you were ready to move up to the 5% BHA?

    Thanks! :)

I've only been using the pumpkin peel 1x/ week for a couple weeks so I haven't noticed any huge improvements yet. I'm hoping to fade more acne scars with it.

I moved up to the 5% after my 2% bottle ran out. I figured my skin could handle it because I never had any issues with drying or redness with the 2%. No problems with the 5% either:)

I'd also like to know! I recently bought the 5% and used it on Wednesday but it burned my skin (it's scaley, peeling, and all red :(). I ordered the 2% BHA but I'm wondering if I should return the 5% or keep it. I know everyone's skin is different but I'm wondering if I'll ever be able to work up to the stronger strength. Did either of them sting/burn when you first tried them?

I never ran into any burning or stinging problems. Good idea on ordering the 2%-- sounds like the 5% was too much for your skin. You could hang on to it; you've already paid to ship it and at some point you will be able to move up to 5%. It might just take it a little longer. Work through your bottle of 2% and see how your skin is handling it at the end of the bottle. You may also have to work up to using it every day; you might have to just use it every other.

I have another question regarding the PSF Cleanser. I am loving it so far except that when I use it at night I find that it does not do a very good job of removing my mineral makeup. I currently am using the sample size and am using about the size of a dime and when mixed with a little bit of water it foams up. How much should I be using to make sure to thoroughly remove my mineral makeup? Thanks. :toothy7:
I find the PSF Castile doesn't work well with heavy eyemakeup, so when I'm wearing a lot of shadows/mascara, I usually remove that first with a little oil and then wash with PSF Castile. It's definitely enough to remove my mineral foundation though.

Ok, so what am I doing wrong then because it removes some but not all. When I go to apply my bha after cleansing there is still lots of makeup that shows up on the cotton pad.

I am only using a dime size amount of my sample, should I be using more or should I cleanse twice with the cleanser? :sad8:

You could try cleansing twice. Once is usually enough for me, but I don't use a cotton pad with my BHA, so I wouldn't necessarily see what you're seeing.

I started with PSF Castille, BHA and HA Serum about a week and a half ago. A few days into it, I broke out. I don't usually get full blown papules or pustules, except maybe one or two at my period. Otherwise, it's just small whiteheads, clogged pores and occasional dermatitis bumps. But this time I had 3 papules or pustules. I'm not sure I know the difference and a few bumps that I'm not sure what they were.

My skin has calmed down now, and I will let you know what happens.

I've been doing this for about two weeks. I use the PSF castile soap, the 2% BHA, the HA and then the vit c. I use everything morning and night except the vit c is only in the morning.
Up until a few days ago my skin was pretty clear, then I had a minor breakout. It was really only about two days, things are almost clear again. I did have to skip a day though because the airline lost my luggage with all my PSF stuff in it :sad8:. I was getting a rather large under the skin pimple but since applying a little extra BHA on there every night it's getting much smaller and I think it will go away completly!

So, I guess I can say so far so good except for that minor mishap. I am however looking forward to the day where that stops completly.

I do have a small question about redness though. After applying the BHA my face looks a little red but I expected that and it goes away quickly. However, it gets a little red after I apply the HA as well. Nothing crazy and it goes away fairly quickly but I didn't think it would have anything in it that could cause this. Just wondering if anyone else experiences slight redness after HA.

I get this also, but I think it's more from touching my face than the HA.

I also experienced a lot of new whiteheads (but no new full blown pimples) when I first started the program (about a week and a half ago). Those have mostly faded and I feel like maybe it was a result of the SA cleaning out my pores. I now have my first new "actual" zit since starting the program, which I guess I still expect to get occasionally (lots of stress in the last two weeks!), and the question now is how fast it goes away. I am trying not to pick at it but its right in the middle of my forehead and I hate it! It's actually less red and noticeable than most of my zits so I am hopeful it will just fade away quickly...

as to the redness questions a lot of you are asking, I get temporary redness after applying SA and sometimes HA as well (although I only have a sample and have only used it maybe three or four times). However, it doesn't worry me because it fades quickly and especially with the HA my skin feels so nice and smooth and moisturized by about 5 minutes after application that I assume it is working correctly. I am definitely planning on getting more HA as soon as I have the $$. Overall my skin looks more even in tone, is already less oily, and I am hopeful that pimples will pop up less often. Glad to hear others are also doing well!

So I just started a new routine with PSF castile cleanser, 2% BHA and HA. I am only on my 3rd day and my skin looks brighter, but I'm seeing a lot of new pimples popping up. I don't know if this is the result of my pores expelling a lot of crap, so I'll keep at it and see what happens. I also happened to try a new tinted moisturizer so I'm stopping that for now just in case that is what's breaking me out.

    RCW,

I'm looking for a new skincare regime, too, since people seem to be having some good results with your recommendations.

My skin is oily through the t-zone with lots of blackheads that I can't get cleared up on my nose (my chin has a few, my forehead, next to none). My cheeks are pretty normal...not too dry, and only a little oily right next to my nose. I'm starting to get a few fine lines on my forehead, too (I guess that's what happens when you hit 30 and have a kiddo in the same year!). My skin isn't particularly sensitive.

Right now, I'm just using a hodgepodge of stuff that I have in my cupboards.

    Any recommendations?

I am breaking out, too!! I just started this routine about two days ago. I wash with WGC, apply 5% BHA, wait 30 minutes, apply vitamin c in the mornings, and apply sunscreen in the mornings (it is the ultra sheer neutrogena sunscreen.) Already, I have counted six (yes, six!) new red pimples that have popped up, and they're the kind that are actually kind've painful. Eeks! Other than those pimples, though, my face feels really smooth and looks glowy. :D I'm keeping my hopes up, so I'll keep goin' strong!

Has anyone else who has been on this regimen for a while had this problem? Did it eventually go away?

I'm seeing awesome improvement after about 3ish weeks on this new routine. I have been using the 2 and 5% BHA because I got samples of both. I think the 5% is better for me. I also got a sample of the DMAE gel which I've been using 2x a day with great results (after 2 weeks). My skin is baby butt soft and I have already seen a drastic improvement in the tightness and elasticity in my cheeks and forehead. A little def. goes a long way too with the DMAE. I've been using the sample for 2 weeks and still have just slightly less than half of the stuff left.
Plus, if I feel a little dry after using the Pumpkin peel and before I put on makeup in the morning, I use the Moisture Balancing lotion sample (tons left still after 2 weeks) and my face feels awesome! No flakies for the entire day.
I think I am going to get full sizes of DMAE, 5% BHA and MBL next order. I don't think I'll ever need a full size of the Pumpkin peel, as there is enough in the sample for 4 apps for me. :)

I have been using that sunscreen for a really long time without any unusual breakouts...they just started when I added the BHA and whatnot. Is it the combination of the sunscreen with those products that is making it so bad?

I'm gonna take your advice and cut out the sunscreen for now to see if that makes a difference, though. Does anyone know of a way to get the SPF without using sunscreen/sunblock or mineral makeup, though? I'm not a big fan of mineral makeup 'cause I am really bad at applying it, so it always looks cakey. :D

RCW I am not using anything other than PSF products and I am having the same issue. I don't even use makeup (I am not a makeup girl unless I am going out for the night) so I am confused as to why this might be happening.

I am using the Green Tea Cleanser, BHA, Vit C and the HA Serum combined with Jojoba. I didnt use the HA/jojoba last night thinking maybe the moisturing was too much for my skin. Any suggestions?

The DY Wheat Germ Oil cleanser might be better for you if you're on the dryer side (which I assume is why you tried the PSF Green Tea cleanser over the Castile to begin with).

Oh boy, I've been following her for quite a while with different things. I have very oily skin (mainly t-zone) and the apples (if I had apples) of my cheeks are crazy sensitive. Maybe rosacea? *shrug*.
Well, after using the castile cleanser, balancing oil and retin A (a few times a week), my skin was looking amazing. We were also moving into the very cold, dry winter. I bought everything and tried everything. I over did it and my face almost looked sunburned. (Yes, I was warned to start sloooooow). So, I'm back to the basics of
    Gentle castile for t-zone
    GT cleansing milk for cheeks
Balancing oil or emu oil for moisturizing.

I am still using the BA on my nose. The blackheads are almost gone and I just don't want to quit. Extra mineral make-up hides the redness and the emu oil keeps the dryness to a tolerable level.

My skin is very smooth feeling instead of bumpy now. The red cheeks are calming down again (they really flared after I overdid all the products) and in a week or so, I will sloooooowly introduce everything back in and see how it goes.

I'm 100% satisfied with everything (except my own stupidity) and so very grateful.

I still over-do it occasionally. I constantly fight the urge to have better better better skin. I'm currently sporting a nice chemical burn on my chin from overzealous use of 15% BHA (yeah, that says FIFTEEN!...I got such nice results from one application of the 15% that I had to do it again...too soon.)

Anyway, keep going slowly and you will see results. I'm glad you're pleased. ;)

I did the same thing 2Happy and I would bet that is what flared up my nasty acne. I am now just using the cleanser and will use that alone for a week and then start bringing in the other products. I wanted fast results - well I got them - my skin freaked!! Overall I have pretty decent skin other than some breakouts and I noticed since I started just using the cleanser (2 nights ago) my skin is already looking less stressed!

Well, I'm still using my PSF Castile, BHA 2%, jojoba, HA, Benzaclin and Vit. C serum for over a month now I think. My skin may look close to perfect one day, and the next I have 10 new, but not cystic, bumps. It used to take awhile for acne to appear, I'd maybe a have day or so warning...but not now. I wake up every morning with no idea what kind of skin day to expect. Maybe my skin is still adjusting and periodically freaks out or maybe I should revisit Retin-A and that would solve the problem? I'm not sure but it's bugging the hell out of me. Anyway...just my update.
