DouglaDougla Registered Users Posts: 21
Hi all! I'm new here but have been reading for ages. Thank you for all the great advice! Now I have a question...How often do you cut your 3C hair? I have shoulder length combo 3B/3C...

Welcome to the site, Dougla! :)

I trim my hair every 3 or so months. I trim to maintain my layers but mostly to get rid of scraggly ends. I haven't had a professional cut in about 5 years now.

LOL. Yeah, I trim it myself. For one, I'm too cheap to go get it done, and two, I'd rather be responsible for messing up my hair than to pay someone else to mess it up for me.:)

The longest layers of my hair are about 3-4 inches from bsl(bra strap length) when straightened, and in some places, hits right at the bottom of my earlobe to the middle of my neck when curly. It all depends on what mood my hair is in.

You can view my pics below where it says, "Add'l photos".

Hmmm...maybe I should try cutting my hair too. I don't like to pay lot of money to cut my hair. Especially since it's so hard to find someone that really knows curly hair.

I checked out your pics - you have great hair! Mine has a mind of it's own also..I just go with whatever it dictates that day :D

I trim my hair whenever my hair needs it, probably every 3 months.

    I'm a bit of a product junkie :) Right now I'm using:
    Shampoo - Head & Shoulders or T-GEL
    Cond - Rusk - Calm
After washing - Wired and Loreal Melting Gel

Today I conditioner washed with Sauve coconut so we'll see how that goes. My hair felt softer instantly!

    heyyyy... awesome Trinigal!

This clique is getting big - you, me, urbancurl, spiderlashes, Chocolate Curls, and I can't remember who else.

yes, dougla, I think our hair and urbancurl's is very similar and gorgeous if I do say so - and I would recognize you as a Trini anywhere. There's a few Trinis on the boards.
