How do you wear nude polish when you are super pale? The lighter colors tend to make me look washed out but I really want to wear a light/nude color for awhile because it isn't as obvious. I have tried several pinks but they look funny. Should I try beige? Suggestions?

I rarely paint my nails and I look horrible in pale colors, so I go for a French manicure but instead of the blaring white, I use a sheer white on the tips with either clear over it, or a sheer beige or peach over that.

I asked my nail tech about it and she said I should wait a little while before using a nude polish because the color in my nails is a bit uneven from the acrylics (not the healthy pink color yet) and it could show through. So for now I will stick with dark. Thanks for the idea though

my favourite OPI shades for my hands are - Strawberries in the Sand, Melon of Troy and Dressed to Empress.

I am a redhead also, and have been struggling with the same thing. I really wanted to be able to participate in this year's nude polish trend, but it just wasn't working for me.

ETA: I noticed that OPI has some pale lavendarish colors...I can't really describe them. Maybe that would work, as I have a purplish hue to my nails...

slinky, look for Shanghai Shimmer. it's a light mauve.

I think that is just going to be my thing too. I do really like them painted but the nude polishes look so pretty...just not on me
