Thanking our soldiers -- is this true?

I was sent this in an email. I'm going to guess it's true. Does anyone know, has anyone seen this? I haven't, so I wonder if it's true, then maybe it's not well-known around here.

I usually just say Thank You or mouth it to them if too far away. I know DH has always felt grateful when people has thanked him for serving his country. :)

ETA: if it's been discussed before, just LMK. :)

I got this email too & thought it was a great idea. I would probably be more comfortable with saying or mouthing "thank you" though. I would be afraid the soldier wouldn't know what I was doing & just think I'm crazy.
