SUMMER HAIR DISASTER

microbepartymicrobeparty Posts: 4Registered Users
My hair is a mixture of all the 2s.
I ironed my hair for basically a year and then decided to let it flow naturally for the summer. I have baby fine hair on some parts of my hair, but generally my hair is thin and has body. Lately, I've been finding really really coarse curly hairs, that are on the verge of kinky, my hair feels like straw. One part of the hair strand will be baby fine, the other part will be coarse. Its been a while since an actual cut, and deep conditioning doesn't do anything. HELP!

I'd love to help you, Microbeparty, but I'm stuck in the middle of my own hair disaster. My hair feels awful. I am going to do an ACV this morning and a DT. Then I am going to try some curl defining cream I found at Sally's yesterday. They hadn't even put it out on the shelves yet so it's new. I hope this works because I am getting ready to shave my head and start over.

Microbeparty is it possible that you are protein sensitive? My hair gets very straw like if I use anything w/ protein a couple of days in a row.

    sorry to gauno Microbeparty.

Maudie how did the curl defining cream work for you? I used to use and love a curl defining cream but it was full of cones which I try to avoid now. Please don't shave your hair!!! We need you around to help w/ the experimenting!!

OK, Holly, I am putting the buzzer down and backing away slowly. Actually I tried the Dove mixed with Tizz and I didn't like the results. I will try it again today by itself and get back to you. I just think I needed a "gel break". I'm beginning to feel like a mad scientist with all of these experiments. BWAAAHHHAAAHHHHAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I like this Dove cream. My hair is soft, bigger curls/waves and no crunch. I did scrunch it with a t-shirt after it dried to fluff it up a bit. I could have used more product on the back of my hair which seems to be the problem I have with any product. I started to smooth it on as is, but it's pretty thick so I mixed it with some water in my hands first. I don't know what the ingredients are so it may not line up with CG. Anyway, there you have it. I will definitely use it again, probably tomorrow.
