Those little calls just to say.....

I love you......aren't they the best? :D

My SO called me early this morning while on his way to work. He asked if he had awakened me and I lied saying no(LOL!) because I didn't want him feeling bad for waking me up. Anyway, I thought that maybe something was wrong, but all he wanted to do was say good morning, that he loved me, and that he hoped I had a good day.

That seriously made my morning. I've been walking around with a smile ever since. Maybe it's because it's a burgeoning relationship, but I've always appreciated the little things.

Ah, thrilling young love. I adore my husband, but if he woke me early in the morning just to say he loved me, I'd smack him on the head. Tell me later dude, when I'm awake.

LMAO! If it was anyone else calling, they would have gotten a few expletives in their ear, or I would just ignore the call(I actually did when my house phone rang, but then he called my cell, lol). But considering we don't live close, I always enjoy getting phone calls from him. Especially with all the good things happening for him right now.

And I wouldn't call it "young love", per se. He's about 11 years older than myself. lol.

I meant young as in the age of the love affair itself, not the participants' age. After a dozen or so years, I'm no longer in thrilling new love, but I do remember...

I guess I'm not very romantic, because I'd probably be a little annoyed. If DH woke me up early in the morning, I'd be likely to tell him where to go before he had a chance to proclaim his love.

Under normal circumstances, I would be annoyed also, Bailey. Especially when my girlfriend calls at the crack of dawn over and over again over dumb ish. She'll call multiple times on both my home and cell phone sometimes until I decide to answer! I swear, caller-id is such a beautiful thing. LOL! But with him......I don't get annoyed. Even in past relationships when they did this, it didn't annoy me.

And I just got an after-lunch call today from him :D. You called it, RCW.....definitely young love. LOL!

 at you ladies! Part of me agrees that I don't want hubby to wake me up each morning to tell me he loves me, but the other part is glad he does. :) I'm usually half awake anyway from all the noise he makes getting done.

That was sweet of your guy to call you to tell you. :)

After 20 years of marriage, the cop knows not to wake me up. But he regularly puts sticky notes on my steering wheel or mirror or toothbrush that say stuff like, "Have a great day! I love you!" Or he'll send texts or emails that just say he loves me. :love10:

That's so sweet! :love10: See, you don't need the phone calls when he does all that other stuff. LOL! Unfortunately, I don't live anywhere near my SO right now(he lives about 5 hours away, (but that will change by mid-Summer), so getting those little phone calls mean alot to me.

I also get the texts and emails saying "I love you". Always a nice surprise when I open my inbox. :)
