Hi, finally got my DevaCut...

Hi, just wanted to let you guys know that today I finally got my devacut by StruttsWife. And the results were amazing. I looove it! The back of my head which has been the part where I use to never get any curls just fuzz and frizz now magically curls big time.

I had some major hair and she very patiently just cut curl by curl until they all hung and laid correctly. I went in with hair way past bra strap length and super thick and left with hair just below my shoulder but instead of sticking straight out it hangs down, if that makes sense.

Hubby was there and he was amazed at the amount of curl that I had in my back area. It is almost like those curls were hiding.

StruttsWife took some before and afters and when she gets them to me I will post them but until then take my word you Florida Curlies if you guys want a DevaCut you guys have to figure out a way to come down to St Pete and let StruttsWife cut your hair. You will not be disappointed. :toothy7:

JC - I had the BEST time with you yesterday and cutting your hair was a huge privilege :) That is some daggone beautiful hair you got, girl, and I am happy you like the cut so much. And yes, those gorgeous curls were definitely hiding, but nothing can hide from me for too long ... I am, after all, Italian and stubborn, LOL.

Since the camera died on us at the very end (thank goodness it was at the end!), J had to take the camera home and recharge it so she can download the before and after pictures for us. I just sent her a reminder, and I will send them to you as soon as I have them. Please PM me your e-mail address, okay?

I truly do like your idea to have a curly hair "education day" in our salon sometime soon ... coincidentally, my Deva products distributor has been badgering me to do the same thing. Who knows ... I may even be able to talk them into donating a big basket of products or something to raffle off. I would have to have about 8-10 participants for it to be feasible, though.

It was a great time and thanks again for letting me get my hands on those awesome curls. Now it's my turn to get my mop cut ;)

Hi, here are the pics. There are two before pics and two after pics I will post them so that you can compare both sets. In the before pics, I only have some OneC as a leave in and then let it air dry. In the after pics, StruttsWife, used some OneC as a leave in, some ArcAngell as a styling product and some Set it Free to set the curls. Oh she also clipped my hair and put me under a hooded dryer for 20-30 minutes and then finished drying my hair with the Devadryer.

    WOW! Just wow! :D

Your hair looks absolutely beautiful, and SW did a terrific job! :)

I've had 2 devacuts by a big pro stylist :? who has a few years' experience doing them. My hair never looks that good when I leave.

I'm going to have to fly to Florida now. Or maybe some of us local Calies can chip in and buy you a ticket out here to cut all our hair, StruttsWife!

She has to come to Australia first!

I agree with everyone - looks amazing. The difference in the shine is one thing that struck me - how do you do that? My hair's never shiny.

Thank you, thank you, everyone! Doesn't JC have the most amazing hair?

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my busiest days at the salon, plus I teach on Wednesday mornings, so I'm sorry I don't have time to post more detail right now. As soon as I catch a breather, I'll come back to tell you exactly what I did to style her hair.

FYI, if you're interested, you can also see a couple more "before and afters" by clicking the link in my signature :)

    Have a fabulous day!

What beautiful hair before the cut! And how gorgeous is it after the cut? Fantastic!! I have trouble explaining hour drives for a cut now - I wonder how it would work explaining a airline ticket.
