I've never done one before and I don't know where to start. I want to just use a notebook for now- will that be alright?

How do I figure out calories for everything I eat?
Thanks! (I'm a little scared to write down everything I put in my body)

    I think a notebook works just fine. I usually just set up a chart that says what food, when I ate it, total cals and fat and fat cals. Just write everything, most things have nutrition charts on them now-a -days, if you can't find it you can always go to sparkspeople and search there too. You can keep track of your food intake there too if you don't want to do a notebook! GL, sometimes it can be a real eye opener to see what you are eating, what you aren't eating, when you are eating...and from there you can make adjustments accordingly. I also plug in water intake.
