Clarifier safe and gentle enough for blond hilights

Rainforest1Rainforest1 Posts: 19Registered Users
Hi there:

Anyone know of a gentle clarifying method for 3b curls heavy with blond hilights?

I would use the cider vinegar with water, but I don't want a red cast on my blond hilights...

Should I use white vinegar with water? Any thoughts?

Thanks... :p

I have very light golden , fine 3A, apple cider doesnt affect color at all., ive tried both, A smart lady(kathymack) had the advice of using vinegar rinse, then your RO over, leave on for shower, rinse out the whole thing, together, no dryng

Vinegar is a chelator not a clarifier.

I was going to say that AVC won't clarify. I actually haven't used it in years. When I first came on nc.com and tried cowashing, I used it a lot. Then, I got hooked on natural soap bars for cleansing when they were really popular here a little over five years ago--to restore pH balance. Finally figured out that my products were the correct pH, so should restore the balance.

I have blond highlights, too. Not a lot. Never had anything change the color other then normal oxidation. I add Ardell - Ardell Red Gold Corrector Plus .25 oz. to conditioner or PT to help with that.
