a moment of insecurity

My hair was looking a bit 'wild' (in a good way) last night and I got to thinking...I wonder if anyone would consider it just looking messy. I actually asked my husband if he thought it looked messy and of course he thought it was a silly question! I'm going to be starting cosmetology school in March so I guess that's why it crossed my mind because something like this has never occured to me. I've considered it flat before but never messy. I guess I had a moment of curly weakness lol

If models can do the messy look I don't see why we can't.
If you like it then don't worry about it. I deliberately fluff up my hair and mess it up hoping for that Julia Roberts Pretty Woman look

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!

I wouldn't worry about it. Of course, be prepared to have your hair looking a lot messy when you start school (if it is anything like my school was). Everyone - students, instructors, clients - will have their hands in it constantly. I was usually up in a scrunchie by noon

Ooh, I know the feeling (not that I was in beauty school!). People are always wanting to touch my hair and it drives me crazy! I want to slap their grabby little hands and yell, "Do you know how long it takes to get my hair to look like this? You're giving me frizzies!!"

This could have been me writing this. The funny thing is that the women I see with the 'wild looking' hair usually have the hair that I like the most. I wonder if it is the way we're brought up. Everywhere around us - the supposed "serious women / professionals" have the perfectly coiffed hair that doesn't move. Curls don't behave that way. I grew up being told to brush my messy hair ... I am sure that is a part of it.

Since I've stopped straigtening, even my bangs, I find that my hair is healthier looking and I am much more accepting of its look. We have very unique heads :laughing7:
Type: 3a fine & dense, with normal porosity, terrible product junkie
ROUTINE: LI, enhancer, gel, plop with Curlease towel, serum product (either CIAB or Gel-les'c), clip & diffuse.
Too many favourite products to list ... I finally have my routine that works and alot of products to choose from. My product stash is huge, but well loved !!!
